I just heard a story about Kobe. Some guy who drives visiting teams to the arena and hotels and stuff when they are in Cleveland, he said that Kobe was the biggest D*** he's ever seen when L.A. was in town. He said they got to the arena and everyone got off the bus but Kobe, and he stayed in the back for like 20 minutes messing around with his Ipod, putting the driver way off schedule. Then after the game when everyone got on the bus, again, Kobe took forever to get on the bus, and after about a half an hour with everyone waiting around for Kobe to get on, Phil Jackson went up to one of his assistants and told him that if he didn't get Kobe on the bus right now, he's going to go kill him. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Who is this source?</div>A dude who's dad works for a bus company, sometimes he drives players to and from the games. Take it for what it's worth. I know the guy (Pronk) from that board, he lives in Cleveland and is very trustworthy.
He's a complete ass hole.I have family and friends who live in the Los Angeles area. Every once and awhile they say how the see Kobe around town sometimes and say that he is very Mr. Hollywood, no need to explain what a Mr. Hollywood personality is
I could definately see him being that kind of person...Mr. Hollywood if you will. As Raja said in 7 Second Or Less (great book), he thinks life is a movie and is never in tune to real life. But, he's very charitable, good with kids, and all of that. I don't see him as a bad person.

I don't think any of us can judge him as a person because none of us have ever talked to him, but what he's doing right now in the media is being a bit of an ***hole. He's f*cking with the emotions of the whole fanbase. First he's gonna be traded, then he says he wants to retire with them, then he says there's no way he's staying, then he says he's gonna stay. It's nerve recking.

This may very well be true, I wouldn't doubt it. He has never been "friendly" with his teammates, never hung out with them, etc. I could see this happening. But OF COURSE this only gets revealed today.

He wasn't trying to be an ***hole but most likely just felt alienated. BTW I'm not saying Kobe has never been an ***hole to teammates in the past. (Samaki Walker incident)

Even though he is more vocal and outgoing now, I still think he is for the most part a loner.

NOW, I think is the turning point for Kobe as a person. I think he finally just received a wake-up call, and he now understands that he can't do it alone. I'm not saying he's a bad person, because I don't think he is, but I think it finally just hit him that he's not invincible.
