Agreed. But the truth is his three point shooting has sucked in the playoffs of late. I just kind of assume that's the way it's going to be. Teams always force him to pass it or take ridiculously hard shots in the playoffs, and we haven't had enough perimeter weapons to make them pay for the decision.
Nards shouldn't lose minutes this year. He's one of the few consistent players off the bench Portland has. People need to stop looking at him from the past and look at him in the present. Guy is a legit roleplayer in the NBA. He has been for a year now. With still a few months left in tge season to go.
Absolutely. He's a very late bloomer, but he's been playing basketball long enough now that it's finally settled into his thick skull what he should and shouldn't do. He's a legit backup big man. Was it worth the 6 or 7 year wait (and all that money) for it to finally click? Not really. But the guy he is now is definitely a pretty good backup center.
Jake has been bubbling over with confidence, and playing inspired basketball. I hope this trade doesn't have Jake looking over his shoulder. Or sitting on the bench.
I've seen Hood play in Utah and he was very good. Apparently, you've seen him be very bad. As a self-identified Blazers Homer, I'm hoping for the former, and I will continue to hope for that until I've seen him play 10-20 games in a Blazers uniform.
The thing that makes me nervous about the trade is that we now have exactly one PG on the roster. ET - not a PG, regardless of what Stotts and Olshey are saying publicly. CJ, no. Simons, no. Some may not like WB4, but he's a real PG.
Curry can play point guard if he really has to. He's better when he has the ball in his hands anyway. There is also the open roster spot if there is an injury or something.
Baldwin has been a PG all 3 years in the NBA, in summer league, and in the G-league so in what world is he not a PG?
The National Basketball Association. It's a sport where players take several steps trying to put an orange ball into a peach-basket-style rim. Sometimes, the players dribble the ball.
True....but since B4 wasn't playing anyhow, it doesn't make much of a difference. Turner will still handle when he is in as will CJ when Dame is out.
Oh please... Argue with someone else. Dude has not even sniffed real playing time in this league. Next.
Wait, are you actually trying to make the argument that end of bench guys can't have a position because they haven't "sniffed real playing time"? Like he has to earn a spot in the rotation to get a position? What position does Papagiannis play?
Well now he can score for us due to we not guarding him a any more. Plus I believe he put 20 on us last outing.
