Yes, I would do that deal in a heartbeat. I think we'd have to call them with that though.

I think they would both stay. I only think it would take until this off season to convince the Brow to stay with Dame and the Blazers long term.

If we get JaMychal Green of all people when players like Saric are available (or Mirotic to a lesser extent), I’ll be severley disappointed. Saric is another Nurkic potential buy low waiting to happen

I also think he's a realistic goal, the Pistons arent going anywhere so 30-wins seasons are pointless for them.

Really bad injury history, but that's why you can get him for cheap i guess.

Turner, Harkless, and two or three 1sts for Blake.

Stagger Blake with the bench where he'd be our primary playmaker.

Thing is you can’t get him for cheap so it’s not very realistic. He has a bad contract but they’re not going to just dump him.

Saric could find himself on the trade block by Thursday. The Wolves likely would prefer to wait until the offseason to make a trade involving what was supposed to be the most valuable piece they got in return for Butler, but according to one league executive, “He could be had for a decent offer, a first-rounder and a player.”
    – via Sporting News
One of the highlights of the package brought back by the Timberwolves in the trade of Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia was forward Dario Saric, who is in his third year and was expected to be a solid stretch-4 to play alongside star center Karl-Anthony Towns.

But Saric has not displaced Taj Gibson in the starting five, and he has seen his production and playing time steadily decrease under new coach Ryan Saunders. Saric averaged 10.3 points and 23.3 minutes under former coach Tom Thibodeau. In his last 11 games, though, Saric is averaging 5.6 points and 20.6 minutes.

I don't mind giving up a 1st for Saric because he's not an ending contract. A small problem is the size of his contract. The Blazers don't really have anyone that matches it and might need to combine something like Swanigan/Harkless + 1st for Saric/Bayless (expiring contract).

We have our trade exception. Can deal that directly to Minny with our pick for Saric.

He fits in the vonleh TPE, and they have an exception to fit swanigan. Swap the 2, give them a 1st.

It's actually a damn good deal for both teams.

We get our PFotF and they get a first round pick and no salary back. Dario averaged 15/7/3 in 30 mpg in 78 games last year at 23 yrs old on 45/39/86 shooting splits. And he's on a rookie deal. Terry is too bullish on Aminu, but Dario would be a mainstay starter on this team.

FWIW....just got off the phone with a.....

He said some of what has already been posted. That the Blazers are still having discussions for what seems like another smallish move. He did believe they had contacted Detroit (most likely Griffin) just to take the temperature of an offer but didn't think much came of that. Teams he mentioned specifically:

    Pistons
    Magic
    Clippers
    Pelicans
    Wizards
    Suns
    Kings

    Speculation runs rampant....

    Removing Blake.

    Here's my theory on discussions.

    Magic- Fournier/Gordon
Clippers- Tobias? Bradley would be an interesting third guard but we have nothing to give them. They want all the capspace they can get.
    Pelicans- Mirotic?
    Wizards- Porter?
    Suns- one of their SFs
    Kings- Harkless dump.

So far its been pretty slow with league wide trades. Not sure its as easy to make mid season trades anymore?
The next 48 hours will be very interesting.

Well, Seth Curry matches, and MN seems to really be lacking on shooting guards (and shooting in general).
