The market has been set. A 1st should be enough to clear ET's contract for expiring ones or Harkless AND Leonard. If we give up a 1st and only give up one of those last two without getting back anything that can help it would be a failure in my mind.

If we're going to salary dump at least get market value please.

What superstar do you think would be worth trading Dame for, considering his all-NBA status and his clear intention to remain here the entirety of his career? Curry and Giannis are probably the only ones I can think of. I'd probably be willing to deal him after the lottery for the #1 pick.

Outside of that, I can't see a Dame deal that would return something greater than what Dame already provides.

Olshey is not going to do anything. Quit setting yourselves up for disappointment.

Yeah Barnes just would not have been a good move. He is owed 25 million next season and is most likely going to opt out and ask for more..
It is debatable how much better he is then Jake. (but yes he is better )

Harris on the other hand I would have wanted even though the scenario is similar in terms of a huge payday next year. Just because he is the type of PF I think we need.

Neil is trying to clear cap space by using the #1 pick as the prize looking for an expiring contract. I think he would move ET, Meyers, or Harkless with it, but more than likely teams like New Orleans are holding out for Aminu and the pick, just because his is also expiring.

There is literally no realistic trade the Blazers can make today that makes them a title contender this season. The landscape of the NBA is going to have a pretty significant shakeup this summer, so the Blazers should be looking at consolidating with a minor upgrade trade for the starting lineup, but they dont need to till this summer. Sticking around the 3/4 should be the primary focus now with in mind the understanding that the team will have around $40mil in expiring contracts that can be moved next season when teams try to cut salaty.

Now with that said if they can swing for a big time player without losing Dame, they should. But the primary focus should be shopping a package of Aminu (Cap Relief) Harkless (short contract still young) and 1st round pick(s).

There is a time and place for addition by subtraction this is not that crossroad.

Who said "huge blockbuster or nothing"? A number of players better than Hood changed hands this season, and none of them were in "blockbusters."

Because much like the Kings they are trying to speed up the process. Something the Blazers don't know how to do.

    What is the point?
People want to bitch and it's their right?
People want to say Neil would never.... and have zero basis for saying that?

I let it slide most all of the time, but people's anxieties at the deadline are making them crazy, and their response is to try to make me crazy... and it's somewhat working.

Daryl Morey made a trade for Chris Paul that had them up 3-2 on the Warriors before Paul got hurt.

That is an impact trade to me.
