Wow, I can't believe we lost this game. Lebron was simply amazing, no other word to describe it.I thought we played better than we did in games 3 and 4, but still haven't played up to our potential all series. Billups played better, but still some questionable decisions.(Dribbling the clock down, then chucking up a three at the end of regulation when he had plenty of time to get a much better shot.) He also shot an uncharacteristic 6-9 from the line. Webber played a lot better, getting set up by just about everyone for open lay-ups/dunks. Rip played pretty well too. Sheed struggled, he was 4-13, but still managed to score 17 points. Tay has yet to show up in this series. He got a pass for his struggles offensively in games one and two because he played good D on Lebron. Now that Lebron is lighting us up, and other guys(Chauncey, Rip, Lindsey, even Maxiell)are guarding him more, Prince should be doing a lot more offensively. He can't even score when guys like Hughes, Gibson, or Snow are guarding him off switches. I would have liked to see Delfino play more, especially since Prince played 50 minutes, even though Flip keeps saying he wants to keep his minutes down. But in defense of him, when Lebron drove, especially in crunch time, there was no help at all most of the time. Oh, and BTW, FOUL HIM! Don't let him have an uncontested dunk. Ugh.That ejection for McDyess was bullsh**. This is f*cking playoff basketball, it's a hard foul. Flagrant? Yes. Ejection? No. Suspension for game 6? F*ck no. (Although according to Need4Sheed he won't be suspended.) But the ejection really hurt the Pistons, as Webber and Sheed had to log big minutes, and Maxiell had to play 27, but he did play well in that time. Also, the refs were very inconsistent, that's all I'm going to say about them. For most of the game, they'd call a foul if you breathe on your man, and then for streches, they'd call nothing. I'm all for physical play, but be consistent about it.What we need to do for game six:-Tayshaun MUST play better on both ends.-Chauncey has to make good decisions.-Webber has to stay out of foul trouble early, and keep getting open for dunks and lay-ups.-Sheed has to play like a madman, fueling off his dislike(to say the least) for some of the refs calls.-Rip has to play like he did tonight, especially continuing to shoot well from the line. He also needs to cut down on his turnovers, he traveled at least twice, both coming on big possesions if I remember correctly.-McDyess has to play like he did at the end of the regular season. He should be fresh after missing the 2nd quarter on. Look for him to get some big minutes.-Maxiell has to do what he did tonight, provide some hustle, good defense, rebounding, etc.-Delfino has to play more minutes, but when he's in, show why you should play more minutes.-Lindsey didn't play that well last night, only 1 of 5 shooting. He needs to look to set everyone else up more. A lot of the time he looked for his shot too much, IMO.-Play that trapping zone more. The Cavs really struggled with that.-Play the bench more, especially since our starters played so much last night.-Lastly, if Lebron is driving, and he has an open lane, FOUL HIM! Make him earn those points. Our backs are against the wall again, I really hope we can pull game six out, and then in game 7 at home, anything can happen. GO PISTONS!
Dont overhype my boy LBJ because he was in killer instinct mode and made it look easy. He should be like that all the time. The Pistons were deers in headlights.
Man I watched the whole game. Amazing. 48 points! I wanted it to go to 3rd overtime so James can beat his career high 56? After seeing that, I want the Cavs to make it to the finals and kick the Spurs ass.
