A lot of members think this offseason is going to be crazy with all these trades and whatnot. I think it's going to be rather 'bleh'. I think most of these rumors are just that.
I see at least 3-4 teams changing how we view their teams this offseason. It'll likely be the biggest offseason we've had in a while even it only lives up to half the hype.
Yeah I see this being a big off-season. Zach Randolph will most likely be moved, Carter might leave in free agency, Lewis defiently is leaving. We know for sure the Lakers will probably do something, if its Kobe being moved(I doubt it) or another star being brought in. Shawn Marion might be moved, Utah might try to make some tweaks. Not to mention the draft which might be crazy again like it was last year(of course 1 and 2 wont be traded) but you could see Memphis or Boston trading their picks. Some stuff is going to go down, its just a matter of how much.
the potential is there, but much like most summers it will not be as good as we imagined.VC may just resign with the Nets. The Lakers may be unable to swing a deal.KG and J O'neal may not go anywhere.Lewis will sign with either Seattle, Portland (sign and trade), Magic (interesting) or the bobcats (magic and bobcats have the cap space)Suns will balk at changing too much and will make minor trades/signings.Nuggets will sell of Martin Cheap if they can.some idiotic team will take Zach and his bad habits/attitude and regret it by January.
I think a lot of hype is going to fly around this summer, but like austin said, things will happen. Do I expect all of Kobe, KG, Carter, Jermaine, Pau, Kidd, Randolph, RJ, Kirilenko, and Marion to move? Obviously not, but I do believe some things will happen, and at least 1-2 blockbuster deals. The real trade discussion will heat up at the end of the month.
It may just be me, but it seems like every off-season gets more hype than what ever actually happens. The media gets a hold of a few rumors and blows it up trying to stir interest with fans. Of course, with this Kobe Bryant thing, who knows what could happen. Then you have the whole draft lottery situation and the players coming in the draft- Durant and Oden mainly. With all of the big names beeing rumored to want this or that, something is bound to happen. Then you have the Grizzlies and Celtics who didn't get the picks they wanted, so will they try and make something happen to get the type of players they were hoping for? You never really know. This off-season has the potential to be exciting, but I really don't care much. I am not a fan of a bunch of blockbuster trades and players changing teams. I like familiarity with teams.

There's a lot of jobs on the line this summer and a lot of valuable draft picks up for sale. There will be a few big deals.
