What people could you think of that haven't had a head coach job yet that deserve one? Mine would be Reggie Miller. I think this guy just flat out knows his basketball. I always listen to him the most on TNT and most of the time agree with what he says. I really think he deserves a chance to become a coach in this league one day. I heard Charles and Kenny talking about this, thats why its on my mind.
I cant think of anybody except maybe Greg Anthony. Even though Im not fond of his way he analyzes games(I dont like the way ESPN analysts talk), he knows what hes talking about and I think hes very capable of coaching a team.

Obvisouly Mr. Dustin have the falling, laughing and BEING A TOTAL DOUCHE sickness. j/k haha.I think hes pretty knowledgeble when it comes to NBA. Although I absoloutley hate his coutnerparts..
I gave up trying to judge coaches. I thought Mike Woodson was going to be a great head coach in the NBA when he went to Atlanta. I also thought Mike Brown was going to be another sitting duck in Cleveland. So much for that.
this is going to sound completely random but a player I always loved and was a smart guy who made his living on just being a banger, Jerome Williams. Averaged 6 pts and 6 boards with the Knicks, Raptors, and Bulls. He's done some analyst work with NBATV and he was really involved with the community everywhere he has been. I think he could make a good coach in the league.

If Reggie Miller went to coach Indiana for instance, the whole area would love it. But I'm not too sure if he would succeed; let's remember some of these former players who became coaches---Isiah Thomas, Bill Russell...but of course there are the good ones like Avery and Lenny Wilkens (to an extent). I always thought Bob Knight should have gotten an NBA coaching job down the line, even somebody like Kareem Abdul Jabaar who has been trying for a while.

His coaching style is strictly for kids. That crazy, discpline dominated style of coaching doesn't work in the NBA. He uses intimidation tactics with kids so that they will play hard. He would probably get arrested for assault and battery if he joined an NBA team.
Jarron Collins, just so that he isn't playing for the Jazz any longer. One guy who I think would make a good coach one day is Bruce Bowen. players like him usually do make good coaches, look at guys like Avery Johnson, Pat Riley, Jerry Sloan and Phil Jackson. all those guys played similarly to Bowen, and had the mental disapline like he does, they were all crafty to the point that they might be considered dirty, and they all were vetern team leaders.

I saw Bowen teaching how to play defense and he actually looks like he would be a great coach. Some others that come to mindarrick MartinGary PaytonJohn StocktonJacque Vaughn
Adrian Dantley is an assistant coach right now of course, but I think he could succeed in the NBA as a head coach. We beat the Jazz in a game this year that he had to coach.

Offense only. I don't think I've ever heard analysis about defense come out of his mouth. It's always something about how this or that guy should do this or that to be able to score.I suspect that's the kind of team he would produce. An offense only team. There are enough of those already.I think Bill Walton could be a great coach for a team with a young big man, assuming he could turn off his clownish side and be serious in the role.

From what I hear, Sam Cassel is very interested in becoming a coach after his career is over. Cassel is the exact kind of player you want to have coach you, he's a leader and a hard worker. Not to mention he knows the game of basketball.
