First off, Are there any Yankees fans on this board and how do you feel about your team? I've heard the opinions of all the non-Yankee fans on Boston radio/TV but I never hear what Yankees fans think. As of today, Friday June 1st, they are only better than the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. You have arguably the best offensive lineup (based on past stats and player status) yet they aren't producing and your team is a total mess right now. I'm a Red Sox fan so all I can do is laugh and enjoy the moment. But, I want to hear how you feel about your team and how you would deal with this situation if you were Brian Cashman.
Well I'm a yankee fan and the way our season is going right now it's disgusting. The Yankees should not only have a better record than the Royals and they should not be 13 and a hlf games out on June 1st. The RedSox are obviously a great team but with that said theres no way in hell we should be 13 and a hlf out. The Yankees fuked up when they started getting away from producing home grown talent and just signing pieces or trading for pieces that fit well in the organization, that was before Cash was the GM and stick Michael was running the show unofficially with the Yankees along with the Old GM Bob Watson. The Yankees now are to caught up with the idea of having every position filled with superstars, if I was in the Yankees shoes right now I would basically try to get rid of everyone on the roster except for Posada,Cano,Jeter,Matsui,Melky,Andy,Mo and maybe a few others. The yankees when they won may of had the highest payroll but it was no where near 200 mill.
I'm a Yankee fan (I feel like one of those people at the clinics that say "yeah my name is Anthony and I'm a alcoholic"). I am really not that into baseball, so I can't say it really hurts me that much. I'm disappointed at the team in general. I hate Pavano. Injuries have just killed us this season, I mean just destroyed us. Clemens is going to help, but not a lot. A-Rod is my favorite Yankee now. People are calling him cheap and all that other crap, but I don't give a sh*t. A least he cares and is showing some energy. Go A-Rod
We are killing the Rod Sox tonight  Maybe this and last game where people yelled at A-Rod for yelling "Ah" will start to get the Yankees rolling. Not to mention Roger Clemens coming back. We need to make a statement here and at least win 2 out of 3 in Boston, but we need the sweep.
I'm a Yankee fan. It's been a really disappointing season, and there really is no one to blame right now but the players. They just aren't producing. Oh well, one of these years was bound to happen, no? I mean, the Yankees have made the playoffs 10 straight seasons prior to this, and won there division 10 straight as well I believe? I mean, that's pure dominance. It's eventually going to happen where you get a few injuries, and players don't produce, and none of the players really "Gel" and it just doesn't work out. Eh, maybe it's one of those years.

QUOTE

So WTJ what do you think of what the Yankee fans think?
You all make great points and I can't really disagree with what anyone said. Although JKidd makes some debateable comments, saying leave A-rod alone. How can you leave that guy alone? He's a little weasel who is an absolute astonishing regular season player. This guy will hit game winning home runs in the middle of June but when September/October rolls around you can't even tell he's on the field.
I like Arod and all, I feel he gets a bad rep sometimes but some of the things he does is inexcusable, I mean is it really a coincidence that any team he leaves ends up getting better the year he left? or the team that gets him gets a little worse?

Besides, you guys would have to win around 75% of your games from now on for a serious chance at winning the division. Thanks for returning RJ. He sucked for you guys, but he dominated his last start and will beat out Clemens for #2 on the all-time strikeout list even though Clemens has started in 100-150 more games.
