The kidneys are next to the lungs, which is why when you breath deep it can hurt. For me, it started as just pink tint to my whiz, and then it got darker. And I could almost feel it filling up/build up pressure and then go. Then it started to get really dark in color, and finally almost purple. And then as quickly as it appeared (I thought I had just bruised my kidneys somehow), it stopped. Then about 7 or so months later, I went to work feeling a little sick, but nothing bad. Then as the day progressed, it felt like I had a really bad upset stomach/burning sensation around my waist (on the left side). then all the sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks and I turned green, sweated a ton and felt like death. It took about 2 years for the stone to finally pass, but every time I would feel the pain (it would come and go, and was aggravated by, of all things, chocolate and soda), I would pee a little blood. Occasionally, before I passed it, I would feel the need to go to the bathroom but only a trickle would come out. When I finally passed it, there was a sharp pain in the lower region (the route of the whiz) and I just decided to let it flow...and thankfully it came out relatively pain free. The son of a bitch was huge. I think it was 6x12 mm or 6x10. I really should get back to drinking cranberry juice, now that I think about it.
If you have snow there don’t miss the opportunity to write a message to that neighbor who annoys you.
Yep. I edited the story to explain a little more, but it was HUGE stone. And the tube that goes from the kidney to the bladder (90% of the pain comes from that trip) is not meant for stuff that large to pass through it. From the bladder to the exit is a little more flexible and can handle passage of stuff that large.
Huh......I do drink a lot of soda and eat chocolate.....had a soda last night during the game, in fact. Ah dammit, I really don't want this to be a stone. And I always thought the kidneys were on either side of your lower back? Or near there.
Nope, their location is a misnomer. I was addicted to soda, at an incredibly unhealthy level. I know I'm probably going to pay for it later in life. But since 2012, I've almost had none.
I started drinking Soda about two months ago during every Blazer game. You can imagine how many that is.
Well, I have drank soda for years, but not nearly as often as most people. Before recently, the most I ever drank was maybe once a week, if that. I mainly drink water. Just got off the phone with the triage nurse; gonna talk to the doc and call me back.
Good luck man...I had the same scare pissing blood. Turn out I had several larger kidney stones that I wasn't able to pass after a good ol try, so they removed them and put a stint in for 10 days.
I loved Darron Thomas. I don't think he got his due and kinda got pushed out. He made a horrible decision going pro. That said, I wish you the best of health. I hope it's something minor.
I thought I never got stones because I only drink water (knock on wood) Little did I know Mrs. TPFKA(something) practices preventive medicine.
