So, did they drive the tractor-trailer across the roadless desert? Or was the bust made at a port of entry?

At a port of entry. How would a WALL have helped in nabbing these guys?
Besides, most fentanyl comes in from China.

Over 90% of all heroin, meth, and fentanyl enters the US through the US/Mexican border.

A gate without a wall or fence is nothing more than yard art.

Yours is an interesting type of mental masochism, wishing to be thought of as imbecilic and unable to think rationally.

They are using the door already. The ports of entry are the door.

Not the point. It underscores the importance of border security.

No one disagrees with the concept of border security.

The question at hand is whether to spend money building a wall in the desert, or checking drug-laden trucks at the ports of entry.

Bullshit. Every post you make like this is so transparently flawed.

That question doesn't exist because we already check trucks at ports of entry, always have since before I was born.

The point of a wall is to stop the human trafficking, the smuggling of terrorists, the entry of dangerous criminals, and the bulk of drug smuggling that occurs at unchecked, un-walled portions of the border.

The only reasons to oppose a wall are a desire for slaves for labor, a desire for slaves for sex, a desire for illegal drugs, or a desire to create unrest turmoil and financial ruin in America.

    That is mostly factually incorrect.
"As vehicles line up at the Border Patrol’s checkpoint a half-hour drive’s north of the U.S.-Mexico border, its agents have around 10 seconds to check each driver and decide which few they will stop for additional inspection."

Next time, do a little basic research.

Repugs talk tough on drug cartels - but in their hearts they see them as dedicated capitalists that need to be protected from government interference. We won't even bother getting into the issue of bribery...excuse me...campaign contributions.

100% security takes infinite amounts of money, so you've always got to prioritize.
