which is weird because we need a good defensive player in when Kanter plays.

Hopefully, the Blazers guards can wipe the rust off and show up next game. Too much Lamian Dillard will cost us.

Stotts wanted to take a long look at Kanter tonight with the second unit...Zach and Meyers lost most of their minutes with this move but we have 5 7ft players now...that's some insurance..

not so quiet...most of his shots clanged loudly.

I guess he gets a pass because of his ankle, but he needs to recognize his accountability for running the offense at the same time the C's were dominating. A half dozen fewer shots and 3 more assists should have been on his box score. IMO, Dame's most often weakness is shot selection. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy but that's one part of his game he could clean up a bit. Just a little more discipline, a little more dish, and a little less chuck

It'll be interesting to see if Stotts at some point plays both Nurk and Enes together for a few minutes.

    ok, is it possible?

the NBA has become perimeter heaven. The 3 point line, quick shots, scrambling offense, off-ball screens 20 feet from the rim...

everybody is zigging from the outside. Could the blazers find success if they zagged when everybody else was zigging? 48 minutes of Nurk and Enes abusing the paint? The Dame/CJ 1-2 punch can't compete with Curry-Durant or Harden-CP3 or Westbrook-PG13. But could a 1-2 punch of Dame-Nurk/Kanter turn the rest of the season and the playoffs upside down just a little?

Look at the rest of the bench's +/- and you will see why.

Wonder if Heido Turkoglu and his wife are watching Enes. Remember they are spies of Erdogan, in charge of monitoring Turkish athletes who live overseas.

Last week I heard some NBA analyst say Portland should concentrate on the Post /w Nurk & Kanter and have the best bench in the league raining threes. That could be a problem for some team in the playoffs?

Always great to get a nice win on the road. Blazers worked hard through a slow start and got the game.
I'm looking at the next 8-10 games for different rotational looks. We watched a couple tonight.
Harkless had a good game. Played well on both ends. It's been known for a long time when Harkless plays well this team is tough. Aminu did his job. I'm wondering if Moe is going to play well on this trip consistently? I also think you either have to play both Moe and Aminu with Kanter or give Collins some run next to him. I did notice Layman made up for some of the defense when Nurk was out. I would not try Leonard with Kanter but who knows right?
Saturday afternoon against the Sixers will give us a bit more to look at.

I really like our roster currently. We’ll have a matchup advantage somewhere against anybody.

Beast is Savage, funny him and Kanter are exact opposites.
