Dame-PG-Nurkic would beat the hell out of Dame-CJ-Nurkic. But I don't see how Portland could have landed PG without using the picks they traded for #10 as part of a PG trade

They could of snagged Mitchel with their first 1 (10, which they traded 2 1s to get) and then traded CJ and the other later 1 for PG. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

This is the very reason why Paul George stayed with OKC and why KD made those comments regarding being LeBron's teammate. Outside of AD, is there a star that wants to play with LeBron. KD killed that noise along with Kawhi. Boogie wasn't even wanted by the Lakers IIRC, etc., etc.

Hm, which would you rather have, C.J. and the 26th pick, or a healthy Oladipo and Sabonis? I'd take the latter, as Pritchard would've done at the time.

But as it stands I would rather have a healthy CJ so we have a blessing here to be thankful for.

Were discussing trade packages at the time the deal was made. KP saw Oladipos talent, and hebhas/had more than CJ. Sabonis was also a year off of being the 11th pick, so he was more valueable than the 26th pick.

CJ had more value than Oladipo that summer as he was coming off his best shooting season of his career (48, 42, 91). Oladipo signed a similar extension and was coming off a mediocre season in OKC and hadn't done much as the man in Orlando either. It is absolute hindsight to say Oladipo had more or even the same trade value. CJ was untouchable at the time so we'll never know if Indy would've taken that offer.

Sabonis didn't look good in his rookie year either. The 2017 draft was loaded so I think that's a pretty good offer. Besides the Jazz got Mitchell for the 24th pick and Trey Lyles so it's possible we could've still gotten high enough for him even if we gave Indy CJ and the 15th pick.

Wasn't Mitchell the 12th pick? Or are you saying they traded Lyles and the 24th pick for Mitchell? (just making sure I'm reading it right).

Mitchell was the 13th pick by Denver. They traded him to Utah for Lyles and the 24th pick.

I agree. And i know exactly what you were discussing. My point is that Olapido is dealing with a serious knee injury right now. CJ is healthy. Also the 26th pick is always a question mark. However we got Jake in the second round 47th if i am correct. I would say at this point Jake is having more impact than Sabonis.

So are you discussing anything in regards to the point I was making?

Do you think our offer was better?
offso, Jake is in no way, shape, or form more impactful than Sabonis. Nothing points to that at all. Sabonis is closer to CJ than he is to Jake.

Oladipo is a full inch taller than CJ, has a 3 inch longer wingspan, and a 4 inch taller standing reach.
