I understand that. I was applying it to ANY player at ANY time. I’d take the 2 along with the 6 and 26 and be content.

I guess that was the part of the all star weekend I didn't watch.

I just watched that clip. He only shot and made one three. Were there more that weren't shown? I refuse to look for a boxscore for a celebrity game..ha

The picture isn't totally clear but here are the 10 choices to pick 2 of to start your franchise:
    Giannis Antetokounmpo
    Devin Booker
    Luka Doncic
    Joel Embiid
    De'Aaron Fox
    Nikola Jokic
    Donovan Mitchell
    Ben Simmons
    Jayson Tatum
    Karl Anthony-Towns

I would go with either Giannis and Jokic or Giannis and Doncic.

I think most reasonable people can eliminate Booker, Fox, Simmons, and Towns immediately.

I kind of like Doncic and Embiid but worry about Embiid's health.

I'm not a big fan of the Greek Freak's style of play so even though he should be on most people's list he probably wouldn't be on mine.

I don't like the defensive liabilities if I take Doncic and Jokic.

I doubt many would agree with this but I might take Doncic and Tatum.

Id do Giannis and Luka. Great inside and outside duo.

Interesting question. I'd probably choose Luka & Giannis

This is where I come out as well. Giannis will likely be MVP this year. Luka is an MVP in waiting, IMO.

Interesting that our best young players are international guys. Would like to see some American youngsters balance that out.

My thought too. Always go with the most talented/dominant wings.
Those two with Nurk would be way better than any duo including Jokic.

This wasn't for the Blazers. It was if you were starting a franchise, so Nurk is irrelevant.

I get that. But you still have to round out the team. I'd hope to round out the C position with Nurk! My point being, better to have your most talent at the wings and have average talent in your bigs. Perhaps I would have said Luka/Giannis + Rolo would be better than any team built around Jokic.

Giannis isn't just a wing. He's Orlando Shaq with a handle.

This month, he has shot 46% from 3 on 3 attempts a game.

    This is scary.

I don't know if I agree. It seems there are alot more really good ball handling guards who could replicate what Luka does, but very few who can do anything close to what Jokic does. Just my thoughts though.

Ya, edited while you were replying. Look at his 3pt shooting splits over this season.

I'll be curious to see how Jokic fares in the POs.
I'm still a bit of a traditionalist - I want defense from my bigs. And larger ball-hanlders are better than smaller ones.
