1: Fire Flip. We need inspirational speeches. Promote Terry Porter?2: Draft: Thaddeus Young, Marc Gasol, Taureen Green??3. Resign: Chauncey and maybe Webber4: Sign: Young Point Guard (JAY WILLIAMS)
-Keep Flip-Resign Chauncey and maybe Webber-Draft Young, Gasol, Green-Trade Nazr or don't resign Davis-Trade Prince for Lewis-Sign a veteran with MLE
What do you see in Lewis?I see an injury prone, streaky shooter, no defense mistake.I don't want him here.
What do you see in Prince? I see soft, overrated, no consistency, did I mention soft, no post game what so ever, average defense. I win.
Average defense? No sir. Above average defense.Soft? And you want Rashard Lewis.Small forwards generally don't have post games. And you want Rashard Lewis.Rodman as coach? HELL NO
At 6'9 and with his length you can't tell me a small forward like Prince shouldn't have a post game. Even Rip has a post game when little point guards are guarding him. And no one is as soft as Prince, anyone would be an upgrade at that department. And yeah I said it, Prince has average defense. The dude is nothing with the Wallaces back there bailing his ass out, that has showed in this series.
DTP, I have lost alotve respect for you. Prince DOES have a post game even though hes a SF. He goes into it when his team is in need of scoring. Prince is soft? Hes not the slightest bit..hes just skinny. And overrated? He could probably average around 17 a game and be a 2nd option on a good team if Detriot wasnt so deep in players. Id take Prince over Lewis anyday. Not to mention the type of person he is off the court.
I watch Prince more than 82 times a season and about 20+ times a season in person, I know what I see.

Just because in one series he struggled doesn't mean he doesn't have it "what so ever." I guess you forget about all the times when we need a basket, we go down low to him and he hits that lefty hook. That's not a post game? Average defense? Just because he couldn't stop one of the best players in the game in one series means he has average D? I understand you're mad, but come on...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I guess you forget about all the times when we need a basket, we go down low to him and he hits that lefty hook.</div> Nah, don't really remember that. And when you can't backdown Damon Jones or Daniel Gibson yeah that's no post game, even Rip did that all series. And he couldn't just stop Lebron, he couldn't stop anyone. Sasha P scored I think all of his points on Prince last night, when Boobie got hot Prince was on him last night, dude just couldn't do nothing right. Now, one bad series isn't good enough to trade a player but I think this has quietly been showed the whole season long, just things get covered up when your winning. And I've always said Prince was an average defender, its just makes him look that good when he had Ben and Sheed back there because all he had to do was making defenders shoot over him. But now he actually has to keep defenders from going to the basket on him he struggles because dude can't shuffle his damn feet for anything.
I'd rather have Prince over Lewis and Jay Williams is done.Rodney Stuckey would be a great pick-up for you guys in the draft.
If he's there at 27. First we need to address the backup small forward position because Delfino ain't getting it done. I thought Dupree should have been activated this series but that never happened. I'd be so happy if Th. Young fell to detroit at 15.

I do however disagree about Prince. He did have a horrible series, but I still feel that the positives with Prince out way the negatives. I hate to say it, but I think it's time for Sheed to leave. I love his passion, but at the same time, there is a difference to me between being passionate, and just being completely out of control. I for one am tired of the circus. And lets not forget Maxiell. I cant give him enough props. I think he may be one of the most promising youngsters on the team. I would hate to see him go out with a trade. Its hard man. I can say I would hate to be Joe Dumars right now.
Sheed doesn't need to go, he just needs to mature up a little bit. Saturday was no way to go out and he has to have more class than that. Its tough for him to lose, he's so competitive and I can't really hate or want to trade him for that. He actually acts like he loves the game which is something not everyone does in this league.
I just dont seeing Sheed maturing up over a off-season. Its just in his nature to argue calls and be a an overall bi*ch.To the fool who thinks we should trade Prince: wow. This guy is the future of our team, and one of the only young guys we have left in the starting lineup. He is a underrated defender who shut down Kobe, has shut down other stars numerous times before. He may not of played well against Cleveland but he was the Pistons Playoff MVP in the previous two rounds.Firing Flip. Im iffy on this one. Seems only right to give him one more year, but I dont know if we have that.
Now that the Pistons season is over, we can talk about the off-season. This is what I think the Pistons should do...Personel-I am 50-50 on either keeping or firing Flip Saunders. If we do keep him for a 3rd season we have to surround him with at least 1 superstar/impact player like KG. If we do end up firing him, the only coach I would like to see him replaced w/. That is Bill Laimbeer, even tho he has no NBA coaching experience he did lead the Shock to two WNBA titles and has some kind coaching experience.07 Draft-With the 15th pick the Pistons should draft either of the following...Acie Law IVThaddeus YoungJavaris Crittenton-With the 27th pick the pistons should draft either of the following...Javaris CrittentonTiago SplitterFree agency and trades#1 priority: Re-Sign Billups#2: Extend Mc Dyess' contract at least 2-3 more seasonsPlayers not to be re-signed or retiredRonald DupreeDale DavisWill Blalock(I just don't see him making an impact on the Pistons)Chris Webber(Only re-sign if no other option and does not retire)Lindsey Hunter(most likely retirement)Free agents to look at to improve the benchhttp://www.hoopsworld.com/article_13008.shtml)Grant HillCorliss Williamson(why not bring back our former 6th man of the year?)Desmond MasonJerry Stackhouse(less likely, but he could be a top scorer off the bench)Morris PetersonP.J Brown(if the Pistons end up trading Sheed, Nazr and not re-signing C-Webb)If we sign 1 or 2 of these players, our bench would be greatly improved and that would mean we have trade bait.Trade bait:Carlos DelfinoNazr MohammedFlip MurrayRasheed Wallace(only for a superstar/impact player)Players pistons could look to acquire via trade:-Kevin Garnett(more fantasy than reality, but if anyone can pull off something for "the big ticket" it's Joe D. -Zack Randolph-Shawn MarionThis is my fantasy Pistons team for 07...C. Webber or P.J BrownPF. GarnettSF. PrinceSG. HamiltonPG. BillupsBenchPF/C. Mc DyessSF. HillSG/SF. Peterson or F. WilliamsonPF. MaxiellPG. Law IVPF. JohnsonC. SambI think this lineup looks more realistic for 07C. WebberPF. Randolph or MarionSF. PrinceSG. HamiltonPG. BillupsBenchPF/C. Mc DyessSF. Hill SG/SF. Peterson or F. Williamson or SF. YoungPF. MaxiellPG. Law IVPF. JohnsonPF/C. Splitter or C. SambConclusions:-A lot can happen this summer but there is no doubt in my mind that Joe D realizes that the Pistons need a superstar/impact player in order to still be considered a championship contendor. Of course the #1 priority is to re-sign Billups, there is no ?? that is the biggest off-season move for the Pistons. I just hope if the Pistons do try to acquire either KG/Randolph or Marion that they don't trade any of the core.-I hope the Pistons end up w/ Law IV and/or Thaddeus Young via the draft. If we end up w/ both the Pistons would get an A+ for the draft. Billups could tutor Law IV to be his eventual replacement and Young would allow the Pistons to go after 1 free agent instead of two and provide Prince with the baCk up he never had in the playoffs.-I would like to see the Pistons spend some $$ this summer to improve the bench. I would like to see the Pistons get at least 2 players(Hill, Stackhouse, Mason, Williamson, or Peterson) and at the same process trade the potential of Delfino(while he is still young), the mid level exception contract of Nazr and the experience of Flip Murray either for future picks or included to aquire the impact player.-I really hate the fact that we could still be 1 season away from seeing Amir Johnson's potential. If Flip realized that Amir just wants to show what he got this past season, you just never know he might of been the player we could of used to get to the finals and possible "Lebron stopper".-If there is no other option at the 5 spot, I wouldn't sleep on Cheick Samb. Even tho he has no NBA playing experience and is still probably raw, I saw some pics where he has gained muscle and if he can be developed into the next Nene, we might have our center of the future.I know this was a long reply but like a lot of Piston fans I was very dissapointed how the season ended and just hope we can see the Pistons improve their roster for 07. Realgm says that Knicks want Rasheed. I like Channing Frye and David Lee. But I really don't want anybody else from New York. There is no way Splitter or Crittenton are around for pick 27. Try Marc Gasol or Rudy Fernandez. My Ideas:Rasheed + Delfino + Mohammed + Pick 15 for Marion + James Jones? Possibility, but not a great one. Prince and Marion are very similar, we may need to trade Prince if this situation comes up.Sign Grant Hill (MLE) (Jalen Rose is available too)Resign Billups and WebberPG: Billups / HunterSG: Hamilton / MurraySF: Prince / Hill / Jones PF: Marion / Maxiell / JohnsonC: Webber / McDyess / GasolLets say that Billups doesn't resign:We go out and get Mo Williams. He is very similar to Billups, can make big shots, and is smart with the basketball.I wouldn't want to lose Billups for nothing though. I'm out of ideas. Good luck Joe D.

Pick 15, I want Thaddeus Young, but if he's not there, I would probably draft Splitter or Jason Smith.
