I'm really hoping we can keep him going forward. Such a nice change of pace for us at the wing.

I really give this loss to Stotts because he could have Aminu in there for CJ where you had another defender in there yes Dame was on him on the switch but could have prevented with Aminu was on there where Aminu could switch on Leonard instead of Dame. Stotts needs to quick thinking offense all of the time and sometimes defense when it presents it self. 2nd unit great job especially the 2nd half.

Exactly. Why CJ is in on a defensive possession at the end of a game is a fireable offense.

Harkless and Lillard made the mistake, because they didn't know how to handle that. Any shot beats you there, so why not go under the screen if your Harkless so that Leonard has to shoot the longer 3 instead of getting a 10-footer against a much smaller player? Or trap the ball handler and scramble-rotate towards each pass. If they beat you with skip passing and ball movement to a lesser player who hits a shot, then fine. But Kawhi from 10-feet against a switch?

Player fault, but it was obvious they didn't know how to defend that in that situation. It's on Stotts to prepare them for those specific situations in practice and they weren't prepared.

Tough break at the end there but no reason for the boys to hang their heads. They played their asses off and almost came away with the win against a very very good team. Living in Canada I end up watching a lot of Raptor games on the national broadcasts and that was about as well as I’ve seen them play all season. It took their best to beat us on a night when Portland didn’t bring their “A” game. I can live with that.

But damn, it would’ve been nice if they could’ve pulled it out!!

I hope we beat the fucking shit out of Charlotte and Memphis. Because we sure as hell aren't winning against Frog Face and company.

Olshey doesn't trade from random players that fill certain roles. He attempts to get players he previously scouted when they fail to perform with other teams. And it's such a terrible way to acquire players when you need immediate production. I don't mind it on long term deals but for playoff roster boosting it fucking sucks. Kantner was a rare gift from the heaven by comparison.

Not sure teams are getting that specific with gameplans during the regular season. Especially on a days rest where you likely aren't practicing.

But even if they did, it's not a play that is signaled where you have the time needed to communicate your coverage to your players.

The stretch in the fourth where they missed like 12 straight shots hurt us because we couldn't capitalize on it.

They should just be coached to know better then. Don't let the best player on the floor go 1-on-1 against someone 6" shorter. Make a secondary player beat you. If that happens....good on them. It's what teams do to us time and time again.

It was good game but little mistake will kill you and Raptors are very good shooting team. Both teams made some big baskets at the end they made one more though. CJ really choke on the mid range shot and the difference between Dame and CJ that Dame hits big shots when it counts and CJ usually don't.

The highlight of the night is when Hubie makes fun of Meyers.

I guess you can disagree with Terry's philosophy then, and that's fine.

But most coaches are going to live with that shot.

True. Blazers were pretty sloppy with the ball during that stretch. At least four needless turnovers that I recall that could’ve changed the outcome of the game.

Yes....I very much disagree with the best player on the court getting a 1-on-1 look against a poor to average defensive player half a foot shorter.

Somewhat encouraging is how well Nurk played in the 4th. Picked his spots and delivered some great play against Gasol.

Now if he can only harness that energy for the rest of the game instead of getting flustered after a few fouls.
