...these Finals are going to be as ridiculous as last year's? I mean, I don't want to see LeBron getting all these phantom and touch calls and the league handing him the championship on a silver platter like they did last year with Wade. If he wins a title... he needs to earn it. I just have this feeling that the referees are going to decide this series...Anybody else feel the same way?

NBA refereeing is scrutinized every year in the playoffs. its unavoidable with the way basketball is.

No..the refs can't "screw" a team like San Antonio out of a championship. They're too strong to let that happen and honestly whenever they've been in the playoffs they've never collapsed or let the refs lose them a series. Never ever. Whenever they lose it's usually in a tight 7 game series where the other team just guts it out.I don't really feel the same way at all. I want to see the Cavaliers win. Honestly I just want to see a good series. The refs won't decide it. The thing that pisses me off is that Wade played the same style the entire year and nobody noticed that he got superstar calls until the finals. Every superstar gets superstar calls. That's just the way it is.

LeBron won't get any calls. Have you seen the Spurs doing the playoffs? Bowen could take out a knife and stab him in the foot and the refs would look the other way. The Spurs are the ones being handed the championship. Yes, I'm bitter. Don't argue with me or I'll internet kill you.Breath Nasser, breath. Diamondbacks 10 games over .500 baby!

I definitely thought the Spurs have been getting way too many calls and the referees and league officials are being way to lenient with the Spurs the entire postseason. But you know Stern would LOVE to see LeBron win the championship... that's the only thing that is making me a little uneasy about watching this series. I wish the league allowed tough perimeter defense like they did back in the day...

I thought they were calling the hand check until I saw Bowen play defense. It isn't like they have been screwed at all and I don't think they will.I just don't want to see a flopfest in the finals and LeBron getting in foul trouble over those.

During the NBA draft lottery did you see Stern's face as they were talking about Duncan? It looked like he was having an orgasm or something. LeBron has done his job, he beat the Pistons so now the NBA will get ratings for the Finals even with the Suns out of it. LeBron gets more viewers than the Suns do...Great G/F like LeBron do get calls though, so IF he does in this series, it'll still be pretty even so I don't think you need to worry about it.

Stern obviously wants the Cavs to win for marketing etc. LeBron I think WILL get the Wade calls but now Stern has to go against the Spurs when he really just gave them the chance to be in the finals.

Im not worried about it. I know its going to happen. Stern would kill to have LeBron get that ring.Between the touch calls on LeBron, and Anderson Varejaos crazy flopping, we will see alot of bad calls this series.

I hate how you can't play defense on the stars because the refs think they can't possibly make a mistake or they just want to see LBJ get all the publicity and comparisons to MJ.

On a side note... is it just me or does Anderson Varejao remind anybody else of Sideshow Bob from Simpsons?

My god....this was a loss that'll stick with me forever. I wouldn't mind losing but the way we did was just horrible. I've been trying to convince myself that the Spurs were better and we'd lost anyway, but I can't. I just hope D'Antoni learns to use a bigger rotation like the Texas teams and we'll be back next year. This was terrible. Not even the D-Backs bright future can make me fugghetaboutit. I've never been like this. It's terrible, but I would like to apologize for all the bad posts and the few more that will come during the playoffs. Just bear with me and I'll be back to myself.

They got them beat there. And yes BigMo, he kinda does remind me of Sideshow Bob.Sorry for starting a new page and getting your posts hidden.

I don't think that will happen. I don't think that the refs are racist, I think they like teams that play the 'old fashion' like the Jazz and Spurs. The greatest moment in any Nuggets fan lifetime? http://youtube.com/watch?v=wVdf9flv3sE&amp...ted&search=

I hate the guy. He annoys the hell out of me, and is the biggest fake. He dosent even have that much basektball talent to be honest. It seems like he just runs around aimlessly and falls down alot.
