    There used to be a monthly magazine called Wizard, which was all about comic books. I recall an article they did about the top 10 most powerful superheroes.

    The writers at Wizard were essentially professional comic book geeks, so in a way their opinions may hold more weight. If I remember correctly, Silver Surfer topped the list at #1. Superman was on that list, too, though I can't recall the exact spot.
