We all know he has his 4-year deal. A lot of people sceculate that he will move to a bigger market when the deals up, now that the Cavaliers are in the finals, that whole fan base and state is going crazy, can he leave Cleveland? I honestly don't see him leaving, winning was something he's wanted, they are winning now, are in the finals, why would LeBron leave? If he did, the backlash would be huge.Right now, I can't see him going anywhere else.

I agree, I don't believe he would leave either. This franchise would be willing to try to find players to continue to put around Lebron James to make the team successful year in and year out, as well as would probably pay him as well as any other team in the league would pay him to stay. To further go along with that, he doesn't need to play for a big market team. He is already killing in the advertisements and endorsements he is getting, I can't see him getting to much more money from endorsements than he is already making.

I didnt see LeBron leaving anyways. Hes playing for his state local team where he grew up, they are in the Finals, and if he were to leave it would probably be the Knicks, and I dont think anybody wants to go there. It seems if Cleveland can bring in a few more pieces, maybe a little more scoring or a real PG, Cleveland will be set for a while. I dont see him leaving in a long time.

I dont see Lebron leaving anytime soon but I wouldnt be surprised if when he gets to kobes stage of his career that he'd want a bigger market. Right now though hes making plenty of money off of advertisements and everything and his teams in the finals. This is an alltime high for the cleveland cavaliers organization so I dont see them letting him go anytime in the recent future.

IMO, by the time hes in his prime(Kobes stage) the Cavs will be a major market. You have to think, thats in 6 or 7 years. By then, LeBron might have a ring or two(or more..who knows), alot more big games, more allstar games, probably more all-star MVPs. Soon, LeBron will be a superstar not in just basketball, but in society itself. And his popularity will build the Cavs popularity making it into a larger market. There will probably be more free agents(like Hughes) who come to Cleveland basicly cause LeBron is there. So in time, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be a major market.

I dont ever see Cleveland being a market like LA,NY,BOS,CHI just because the city is the way it is. No matter if Lebron james becomes the next MJ, cleveland market might grow but it will never reach that level.

I dont think he's leaving and its basically gonna be because his team is winning. This is just the beginning, in the coming years, the Cavaliers will be the team to beat in the East, all thanks to Mr. James. Also, I dont think that he would move to a bigger market, because believe it or not, Cleveland is growing as a media market because of him, all his sponsors are doing a good job of expanding the city's media appeal using him as the focal point. We all know Cleveland won't be LA or NY, but it should be big enough for this megastar.

No I dont see it becoming a LA, NY or Boston either...I dont see many other market short of Phoenix becoming that. But I do think LeBrons popularity alone will raise the market. I disagree about the Chicago thing though. If your city has the best player in the world for 8,9,10 years...then its going to be a big market...as we've seen with Chicago.

The Cubs,Bears, and Bulls are loved in chicago like no other team anywhere else. Having MJ only helped what was already a huge sports market, it wasnt like the day MJ was drafted was when CHI grew into a sports city. It had been that way for nearly 100 years.

Personaly, I dont know. I was still I little cell swimming...well you get it. But from what Ive heard from people talking about the Bulls, MJs impact etc., they said the Bulls were a slow and almost dead franchise. Yeah the Cubs and Bears were big...but that doesn't make the Bulls a big market.

I remember reading in a book that Nike was actually very excited that he ended up in a media market like Chicago; because of its size and importance, they could market the JB line better than had he gone to a relatively insignificant place like Portland.

" I want to say, thank you to the 20,000 something fans in this building for cheering us on all season long and they earned this" ~LeBron James~Just a favorite quote from the game... Glad some people still thinks he wants to leave. I mean, hey all he wanted to do is win.. And we are winning. So yeah, he'll leave. [IMG]

To say he will even think about leaving is a joke. He loves Cleveland and this series proved that hes building a dynasty here.

So far as of today hes won 0 finals games, thats a bit presumptuous.

I don't see LeBron leaving the Cavs anytime soon if ever. He wanted to win, and he is finally winning. This team has the right role players around him, and an upgrade here or there could really turn this team into, I don't want to say a dynasty yet, but a very strong team for a long time. LeBron has shadows of MJ by the leadership he shows on and off the court. He's a great player, and he seems to love Cleveland and they love him back. The Cavs will have no problem putting big money on the table to keep LeBron is Cleveland. He has something very nice cooking with the Cavs. Plus, the trend in the NBA is that the top notch players stay on the same team for all or most of their career.

At that time, all those teams were exhausting their last playoff push. Jermaine Oneal at the top of his prime, Kidd at the top of his prime, Ewing at prime, kobe AND shaq with strong help at their prime, and AI at his prime. Lebron has not even begun close to reach his prime and he is in the finals, thats why he should be coming back here again.
