He made the all star team but in my book he's no where near an all star. He's a somewhat above average player. You can think I'm upset about the way he left, but that's not it... I was glad when he left. He was stifling our team. For the same reason, I don't want him back. We have a good team with a great chemistry and team mentality. I don't want LA polluting that.

Aldridge is a better defender and rebounder. Plus he has a go to shot and was very effective in 2014 playoffs against Houston. 40+ points in both games 1 & 2 on the road.

True. The Memphis series was horrible.

Lately he's been with San Antonio and has helped keep them relevant.

so now you're going to split hairs with the use of a word? C'mon, you are better than that aren't you? No sense carrying this discussion any further with you as it's probably best to end this now. Aldridge's resume proves he is a very talented player and thinking he isn't makes me question ones ability to evaluate talent.

    Have a nice day.

He's not a better defender and they average the same rebounds per minute. He certainly has a go to shot but we have enough offense. 2014? Seriously? LA is the kind of guy who improves a crappy team because he has a decent shot that is mostly unstoppable. But the better your team is the more you do not want a guy like LA. He's a needy player.

So "B Tier" rather than "C Tier"? I'm cool - fuck LA. That MFer ain't never winning a championship as major rotation player. Speaks volumes that a team built around him under THE BEST COACH in the league is worse than a team built around Dame under an excruciatingly average coach. The dude doesn't impact games except for a handful of times each season. PFs who don't do the dirty work aren't worth shit.

We may completely disagree about Aminu, but we're in 100% agreement about LA.

We're C tier right now? gtfo. We are just below the top tier and knocking on the door. And when we had LA we were in the same spot. I think the LA hate is comical. Dude can play.

    A Tier = Contenders (GSW...maybe HOU?)
B Tier = Conference Finals contenders
C Tier = 1st or 2nd round outs. Regardless of record, we're behind B Tier teams when it comes to making the conference finals.

RE LA: Look at the team when we had LA, but before we had Dame and after Roy "retired" - when the team was "his" it SUCKED. Then look at the team after LA left - no change. LA is a joke.

The two seasons before Aldridge left we finished first and second in the division and 54 and 51 wins. Pretty crappy eh?

We'll see, of course. But I'd put us firmly in the B Tier. If we gel, only GS will be able to stop us in the West.

Sure, LA isn't a leader, but I thought the LA/Dame teams were good (regular season) teams. LA would be joining a (hopefully still) B Tier team. He would no longer be asked to be the man, but would surely prove to be a solid contributor on a Dame-led team. Also he wants to be here. Think David West at the end of his career, but much better.

All of his all star appearances have been chosen by the coaches in the league. Are you saying the coaches have been clueless 7 times?

So you deny they are different and considerably different?

Saying someone is overated is not saying they have no talent... have a nice day....
