<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Isiah Says He Plans To Gamble On Draft NightNew York Post - 06/05 - 8:23 AM ESTOn Tuesday, the Knicks, in a joint session with the Nets, begin individual pre-draft workouts at the Knicks' Westchester campus, with Vanderbilt's small forward Derrick Byars, projected as a mid-first-rounder, the centerpiece.Thomas feels he can be looser with the 23rd pick. He considers former Kentucky center Randolph Morris, signed in March after the NCAA Tournament, as his first selection of the 2007 draft."I feel it's my second pick in the draft," Thomas said last week at Orlando's pre-draft camp. "Having [claimed] one pick in this draft, I could be more riskier with the second pick. I'm could take some chances, take a flier on maybe somebody people aren't expecting you to pick.""The guy we pick at 23, I'd be surprised if he cracked the playing rotation next year," Thomas added. "We can afford to draft a guy and maybe look at a two-year window and wait on him."Thomas shocked the NBA world last June, when he took Renaldo Balkman at No. 20, passing point guard Marcus Williams, who was projected to be a lottery pick before going into a free fall. Balkman soon became a fan favorite for Knicks' fans and Thomas was able to draft a promising point guard in Mardy Collins with the final pick of the first round.</div>I was shocked how fast he jumped on Randolph Morris, that was a solid pickup. But I don't want Isiah just winging the 23rd pick, he needs to sit down and actually think about it before he drafts someone that's a total waste. I'd really like to see us get Byars or Stuckey, but I don't think they'll be there at pick 23. I heard Marcus Williams and Daequan Cook as possible selections as well.
Stuckey is supposed to be a really nice prospect. He just isn't know because he went to ..Eastern Washington? See, I can't even remember which college exactly he went to. The only reason he couldn't play in the Pac 10 was because of his grades, but he stayed determined and ended up being an All-Conference Academic student. The Pistons are eyeing him at the 15. If the Knicks could get him, it would be a good pickup, especially if they move Franchise.
Rodney Stuckey reminds me of Kedrick Brown. Who? Exactly. Randolph Morris reminds me of Curtis Borchardt. Isaiah just needs to quit drafting. ASU Marcus Williams at 23 would be a sweet pick but I hope my Pistons wouldn't let him fall past 15.

Frye and Lee have been great, even though Frye had a little sophmore slump. But Lee is a double-double machine. And, despite everyone thinking Balkman was a horrible pick (I thought he was out of his mind), he has become a fan favorite.
Isiah Thomas is one of the greatest drafters of all time. If you're NY, you can feel extremely cofident he will find a gem.
<span style="font-family:Arial">Isiah Thomas has had some success drafting in the past, I am going to trust his judgment until he proves me wrong. I'm thinking Reyshawn Terry could be a possibility for New York. If they're looking to take a huge gamble, I would go after Ante Tomic from Croatia.</span><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And, despite everyone thinking Balkman was a horrible pick (I thought he was out of his mind), he has become a fan favorite.</div><span style="font-family:Arial">Balkman wasn't a bad pick, but he could have been drafted with the 29th pick instead. We hvae Steph, Q, Crawford, Francis, Nate, we got collins because he isnt like most rookies because he cna defend and be smart with the ball. Mardy can play 1/2 not like Wiliams too
Channing Frye is a terrible bigman. He's a pussy in the post. He has no body. He's a terrible rebounder for a guy who's 6'11. He's one of the biggest reasons the Knicks are so terrible. Being a successful post player in the NBA is all about power and dominating your opponent. He will never be a star because he will more often than not be getting pushed around by his opponent. He was just a bad pick at 8 and there's atleast 5 players that were drafted behind him in that 1st round who have already shown they will be better pros than him.
