This guy was a monster before he destroyed his knee. Too bad we don't see Shawn Kemps and McDyess-type players today. The closest we got is Kenyon Martin and Stromile Swift and they're not even close. :no3: Amare is pretty much up there though.http://youtube.com/watch?v=SQC5g7yezgs

Holy sh*t, I did not know he was this athletic. One of the guys' comments on this video hit it right on the head: "Amare before Amare." :shok:

Dyess was a beast. The dunks/blocks were great to watch, but I also wish this mix showed how nice his face-up game was as well. Danny Ainge compared Yi Jianlian to Dyess, by the way, and it does make some sense (excellent athlete with a reliable mid-range game).

On a side note, I laughed a little bit at the :50 mark where the song said "let your girl watch while I pee pee." [IMG]

Yeah I used to love seeing Dyess play with the Nuggets. Him and Chauncey were really good together. He was an absolute animal.

How old are all of you? I never got to watch him like this even though I was 11 the last time before he hurt himself (I think it was his last year in DEN 01-02 season)

I was young, but I used to go to most Nuggets games, so I still remember those days with Chauncey, Dyess, Raef, Van Exel, Keon Clark, etc.

He was kind of more reckless if you think about it.

I don't remember him that well but my dad loved the guy. Too bad he went to the Nuggets to play with Van Exel...who left a year later.

Wow, no wonder he got injured. He was determined to dunk on every player in the NBA. He played with wreckless abandon. Reminds me more of Garnett than he does Amare.

A lot of players with similar style are injury prone because of their recklessness; K-Mart, Stromile Swift. They haven't and probably will never play a full season again...might even see one of their careers cut short.

It seems like Nene wants to slam it on everybody as hard as he can. That is why he has been injured a lot also. [IMG]
