Ok guys. It’s horrible that Nurk went down but our season isn’t lost. We’re probably the only team in the league with THREE back up 7 footers. They’re all elite for different skills. Kanter with his inside scoring and rebounding. Zach with his intense defense. And Meyers with his shooting and passing. If any team in the league can survive and injury to their starting center, it’s us. I hate what has happened to Nurk. Not just his career but his life. But the season isn’t over. 3 seed (maybe 2 seed) is in reach and championship is still on the table. Go Blazers and Nurk, get well soon!!
Okay, I need to come over for a playoff game and I need you to do an ASMR on me about the positivity of this playoffs. Because I ain't seein' it.
We have a shot still at getting past the first round. After that, we're done without Nurk though. I don't care how many backup 7-footers we have. We only have one Nurk.
I like where your head is at, but unfortunately the reality of the situation is somewhat different. What is great about Nurk is that you don't have to choose between defense, rebounding, and offense. With the rest of our bigs, you have to pick your poison. Kanter: good: offense, rebounding bad: none absolutely deplorable: defense Biebs: good: swish3s, rebounding bad: defense absolutely deplorable: decision-making Zach: good: defense bad: offense, rebounding absolutely deplorable: none Kanter is unique in the history of the NBA. He likely has the worst +/- of any player in history that has his rebounding and offensive efficiency.
We didn't win a game in the Playoffs with Nurk....it's going to be tough to win a series without him.
Look it up on youtube. There's a ton of variations on it. But it's pretty much just repetitive sounds that soothe the person.
Nurk can move, set screens, catch, pass, create assists and score up to a three point line but seldom over it.. Kanter can live only in the post and lacks defensive thoughts. He is affected by kryptonite beyond the foul line. ML's game should have been morphed into a carbon copy of Nurk's play assignments. He can hit threes but others can produce. We need a good hoop wolf like Nurk. Our center position would be a great chance for ML to prove he is worth every penny of his 10 mil.
The X factor going into the playoffs is how well Zach can stay out of foul trouble and stay on the court...without him we're thin at rim protection of any kind unless Meyers becomes the incredible hulk overnight..Kanter gives us Ed Davis type second chance pts and cleans up missed shots..can score over legit bigs in the paint and has a shooting touch. Kanter is only 26....he can learn to be a serviceable defender with a good floor general on the court with him. Dame ET and Rodney are probably going to have that role...Chief as well
