I’m so confused. I have never really been into wrestling once I turned 12. I thought all that shit was fake.
I like how people seem to think saying wrestling is faked is something fans of it don't actually know. Yes, you could do an anecdotal story of some gullible person, but do we need to point out (constantly and condescendingly) that Harry Potter is fake? or Marvel Movies are fake?

So here's the thing. A while ago, a wrestling fan asked a question about what would happen if the weather turned bad (i.e., snow), and one of the guys from a wrestling dirt sheet said that even if there was a snow storm, the WWE would continue on with the show. And this lead to people thinking they're being clever, or funny, and implied that the show as canceled (but didn't necessarily mention that it was a hypothetical question regarding the weather). And then this turned into people going "Oh hey, I have to make fun of wrestling fans and point out that it's fake!" because Rhonda Rousey's character is pointing out the same thing. Because you know, wrestlings fake and all. So, IF the show as canceled, it wasn't being canceled due to "allegations" of match rigging but the small possibility that there was a weather issue. And thus my point stands. It's an easy to make fun of wrestling fans as rubes and yokels.
Where did I make fun of wrestling fans? Where did I call them rubes and yokels? And how long have you been a rube and yokel?

I refuse to believe it. Next thing you're going to tell me is that Shag Thomas and Jessie Ventura were fakes. That's where we part ways.
