Re: I still don't get it... What's the deal with Marcus Williams being so low on pretty much every single mock draft? The dudes easily a top 2 SG prospect along with Nick Young and I think you could make a decent arguement for him being the best. I mean I saw 95% of his games at Arizona and the dude is a way better than a late first round prospect. He has the potential to be one of the best scorers in this draft and I wouldn't be that suprised if he became a 20 ppg scorer in this league. Obviously he'll have to work on his three point shooting from NBA range but other than that, his offenisve game is already pretty much all there. I realize his defense needs some work but I'm sure it will develop in time. I just don't understand why people still don't have him going in the lottery-mid 1st round anymore.
Re: I still don't get it... I think they're turned off by his lack of intensity on defense and his inexperience- those reasons you listed. His FT% and 3P% weren't great and definitely not good for a combo guard. He does have potential though.
Re: I still don't get it... I've been saying this all year long, Marcus Williams is getting VERY overlooked. He's skinny, his shooting mechanics need a lot of work, and he needs to improve defensively like any other rookie, but he can play. He can play 3 positions, create for others, he has a mid-range game, he's very athletic, and the potential is certainly there. I've said this 100 times before, and I'll say it again: Jalen Rose 2.0.
Re: I still don't get it... What? I was thinking Kevin Martin 2.0I think people were dissapointed in Arizona's barely .500 record and early tournament exit. He was the best player, on a pretty stacked team, so the team's failure has hurt his stock a lot. Plus from what I've read, he seemed lazy and passive on the floor at times.
Re: I still don't get it... He means Jalen Rose as in being able to play the 1-2-3 positions well in terms of rebounding and passing etc, and they both have the same frame (Marcus needs to bulk up, of course). Kevin Martin is a scorer with less of the spread out ability that those two have.

Even though that comparasin was pretty off you still could atleast back your post up for once to show you atleast know what your talking about a little. No offense but I wouldn't be suprised if you haven't watched Marcus Williams play before. If you have, you've probably only watched him play once or twice.

Marcus Williams is a good mid range shooter, very versatile wing, good rebounder for a guard, excellent vision, and he's just a much better all-around player with more potential than Martin. He'll add muscle to his 6'7 frame, and his outside game will improve in time - he should address both those flaws over the summer.

Everyone knows his *ss should be kicked out of here. He just sucks up to the admins/mods. But he has no idea wtf he's ever saying, he just likes to follow me around. And I don't think that Marcus Williams-Kevin Martin is a bad comparrison. As a Pacers fan, I know my share about Jalen Rose, Jalen Rose was a pure scorer too. Jalen Rose was a ballhog and was a lackluster defender/rebounder. He had a much better shot than Marcus Williams ever will. The Kevin Martin comparrison makes much more sense to me

He rebounded fairly well for his position and dished the ball out at point guard. Kevin Martin is a pure scorer most suitable for the SG position and lacks the versatility of Jalen and Marcus. That's why the comparison isn't spot on.

He needs more depth in his posts, but many posters on this site do too.Rose was a scorer, but he was a better than average rebounder, and he had a pretty keen eye for passing.

Height is not the most necessary factor in being a good rebounder; look at Rondo, Chris Paul...and why didn't Manute Bol dominate the league in rebounds per game? He was 7'7...Rebounding is all about technique, strength, and motivation. Jalen wasn't the best rebounder but he was solid for the type of player he was, including having good vision as a passer (although that wasn't his first choice of course).

A lot of times he would play point guard, mainly because he was the best option and better than Jay Williams at that point. He would get 5-6 assists per game, which is very good for someone who is 6'8.
Re: I still don't get it... I think he's being overlooked as well. Arizona didn't do much so a lot of people didn't end up seeing much of Marcus this year. I think he has plenty of flaws, but he seems to have the work ethic to fix them. A lot of people look at his his frail body and poor defense and get turned off, but on offense he's crafty and smart scoring the ball, he doesn't like contact and is an inconsistant shooter, but he can put up a lot of points. I can understand him getting overlooked, considering all the media is focused on the top few players, and after that there's a slew of guards, right now he's just bunched in. He's probably better off getting picked late so he goes into a better situation.

Re: I still don't get it... Ugh now mock drafts are having him falling to the 2nd round. wtf? Anybodyt who has seen a good amount of him should be able to see he's clearly a much better talent than that. I just don't get why this is happening.

If he falls to the Celtics at 32, which should not happen at all, I would do backflips.
