If you think Stotts going to have CJ to come off and starting if come back this year think again it not going to happen.

I dunno, except every other team in the NBA would love to have them. I guess that what about.

Hey, hey, hey, I've already got a job. Once a day I go to the mailbox and look for my unemployment check. When I see it, I immediately take it to the check cashing place and grab my cash. Then, I head for the liquor store where I buy the cheapest beer I can find and a carton of Camels. Then I've got to spend the next 30 days recuperating with a can of beer and a cigarette while sitting on the front porch in my stained undershirt. For a change of pace, I go inside and kick the dog and yell at the wife and kids.

Warning: The following is pure conjecture and is not based on any facts: known, alternative, or imaginary.

I'm guessing CJ will be back for the playoffs, but will come off the bench, at least for the first few games.

How many here think that would be a blessing?

I think it would be beneficial to continue to start Hood and have CJ work over the other team's backups. For one thing, although Hood's defense isn't great, it's greatly better than CJ's. Additionally, it seems to me the ball moves on offense better with non CJ players starting.

    What say you?

I think CJ will be back for the Denver Games limited Minutes off the bench. Will be starting by the time the playoffs start.

The biggest question isif CJ is back will he end games more than will he start....Stotts will start him in the playoffs even if his minutes are limited..CJ would be 6 man of the year every year if he'd accept that role at least on this team. In the east he'd be the number one option and an allstar for many teams

Sure. Did we learn nothing from BROY coming back too soon. Or any player for that matter. Why risk log term damage?

I honestly think BRoy ruined his knees with Tai Quan Do kicking more than playing basketball...he practiced marshal arts since childhood I read somewhere...

Well Broy was a quite different injury.

Im ok with resting him as long as he needs even if that means we dont see him til october. If he’s good to go, and cleared and his chance for injury isnt heightened, I dont know why they’d sit him.

Absolutely agree. IMO, a player should never be forced into action until healed and strong enough that injury risk is low. Even if they want to.

    overstating your case?

    Khris Middleton
    Kyle Lowry
    Ben Simmons
    Jimmy Butler
    Kyrie Irving
    Victor Oladipo
    D'Angelo Russell
    Kemba Walker
    Bradley Beal

    Zach Lavine
    Trae Young

    John Wall
    Reggie Jackson
    Josh Richardson
    Colin Sexton
    Eric Bledsoe
    Malcolm Brogdon

this 'CJ-would-be-an-all-star-in-the-East' narrative has been around for a while and I just don't think it's based upon reality

the idea he's be a good number one option is also highly questionable. He has had only average efficiency as a scorer and shooter so far, and that's with Dame getting all the attention of the defenses. He's never had to play through and overcome an opposing defense when it has been prepared to make him the primary focus. He's drafted off of Dame for 4 years and suddenly, he'd go to the East and be 'the man' for several teams? No team with CJ as the number one option is going anywhere in the playoffs IMO

stick him on some generic east team and give him 3 more shots a game (and god knows how many more dribbles). He'd then be 2nd behind Harden in the number of FGA's a game and he'd still only be 15th in the league in scoring. And that's under the highly questionable assumption he could maintain his current efficiency without any drop-off due to defensive attention

5 guards in an all-star game. I'm looking at those lists and seeing 8 or 9 players that are better than CJ. And for every player like Kyle Lowry who would be dropping out due to age, there are young guys like Trae Young and Sexton and Richardson on their way up

Nothing malicious. Nice little dig. Well wishes. Best play CJ has made this year.

Roy also had little to no meniscus in either knee which is what finally ended his career and why he was unable to ever fully recover.
