Does anyone know when the price of it is going to drop? There's 2 versions right, the good version with a hardrive and wireless controller is 400 correct, and the core version is 50 dollars cheaper? Which one should I get, the premium or core version, does it really matter?
Well, the better, black version is $489. I'd buy the $400 one though if you want to save some cash. Just do a little research, but I remember my brother saying the core version isn't that great.

The only problem with that is that they always end up pushing Halo's release date back, so it wouldn't be worth the wait.If you are going to buy one now, then go for either the Premium console or the Elite console. The Elite is black, and has a 120 GB hard drive compared to the Premium's 20 GB hard drive. The Elite's hard drive is only worth it if you're going to use the Xbox Live Marketplace to download movies, TV shows, etc., otherwise you're better off with just the Premium console.
Go for the premium. Because even if you do need that space later on, you can go out and but the 120 gig hard drive.and it copies your stuff from your old hard drive to it

But, I would only go for the Elite if you know for sure that you want/need a 120 GB hard drive or if you like the appearance of the black 360 better than that of the white 360, otherwise your best bet is the Premium.

Just spend $20-$30 on a pack of 10-12 rechargeable batteries. That's what I did and I haven't had any problems, really. I usually get between 20 and 30 hours of playing time with each pair.
Yeah, I'm in the same situation as Pronk... I'm waiting for the price to drop, any time during the summer.
I asked some dude at a game store and he said they weren't dropping any time soon because it's still killing the PS3 in sales.

I don't mean to bump this topic up, but I don't care, haha. I am to looking to buy a 360, I'm thinking of getting one this week sometime. My buddies have been on me about it because they want to play Gears and sh*t like that. I hope some prices drop, but if not I can always buy it at normal price. From what I've read so far, I'm gonna go with the Premium console... Now if I can only find one for a pretty good price.... :g:
Wireless controllers can be a bi*ch when you have 3 of them, I suggest if you have guests over a lot to get 2 wired and 2 wireless. And like bigmo said, just buy a good pack of rechargeables and recharge them after, problem solved

It is a pain in the ass though.
why dont you just buy rechargeable batteries? I bought a pack of em that came with a charger and ive been using it ever since
Definetely get premium. It's a 50$ difference for stuff that costs $120+ overall. You will need the stuff in the premium eventually anyways.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pronk48 @ Jun 8 2007, 03:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Does anyone know if the price will drop anytime soon?</div>No not until atleast the end of next fiscal year(March '09 if I'm not mistaken). MS will stay there as long as possible and PS3 will lower its price before the end of next year to keep up.
