It doesn't. It has to do with a post I deleted about Blazer triple doubles...I thought it applied to the triple double ...I wasn't contesting your post. I was saying I was wrong when I quoted Wheels in the game thread....if that makes any sense. Wheels said Strickland had back to back trip dubs but he only had 1 after checking...I 'm thrilled ET is bringing it
If he does, I need to be comped something by the team for contributing to ET's turnaround. Fly me out for a playoff game. Or get me some swag or something. @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP
If that happens, I'll send you whatever fan appreciation night swag they give out for the Sacramento game.
ET is working on his NBA Player of the Month campaign LOL Or a late entry for Sixth Man of the Year. Or literally, Most Improved Player (from one month to the next). I think yuyuza deserves credit for ET's resurgence
ET has always been a decent rebounder. And while we know his 90% shooting won't last he did shoot 50% in both November and January. His turnovers are often frustrating because they are usually forced and unnecessary....but they do not occur as often as people seem to think. As for his assist numbers........there are games where he could have way more...but the player on the other end of the pass missed the open shot. Which is why I hate the assist to turnover stat. Totally misleading for a team that shoots a lot of 3's. The key for ET (Like it was for Nurk early on) .....just cut down on the unnecessary forced passes into traffic. But I do love his lobs to Jake.
Excellent post, except that you seem to have forgotten that ET is the scapegoat du jour. We already have sort of given Meyers a pass for that role. If we let ET out too, where will we direct our invective? Oh yeah, there's still Stotts.
Don't disagree and I was obviously speaking tongue in cheek, but pointing out that Evan averaged less than a basket per game for a whole month is hardly a meltdown.
Sure Stotts is there but they sure don't want to give up the ET whipping post. Heck a few even say Turner got the triples in spite of Stotts so maybe Stotts is a bigger whipping post? Easier to target for sure. Most have simply got tired of the Meyers line. Even when he plays well the lines are tired....
