Is #5 to high to take Noah? I was thinking a trade down to maybe dump some salary or something a take Noah a little later would be nice. What's the latest you see him going? I would love to swap picks with the Bulls with Duhon being involved in a deal but I'm not sure if he will fall to #9. What do you think?

Way too high to take Noah..he'll be a mid-lotto pick at best..no way not at 5. Players who will be availible at 5 most likely that I would select over Noah: Wright or Horford, Brewer, JianLian, J Wright, Thorton, Green

I think Noah is gonna be a very solid player, and whether you like him or not he DOES fit in Boston, but like playa said - I would not take him at 5. No way. If we ended up trading down for a pick in the 8-11 range, then I wouldn't mind Noah.

If the Celtics want to trade down to get him, they probably won't be able to get him past 9. Although some people are convinced the Bulls will pick Hawes, I think they'll pick Noah. They were really high on Noah last season and said they would have taken him with the 2nd overall pick if he came out. If he's avaliable, they'll probably take him, although they need Hawes' scoring more.

I think they should try to swing a deal with the Bobcats or Bulls involving Knight or Duhon and trade down and take Noah. I think he would be a nice frontcourt player alongside Big Al.

We wouldn't take Noah with the 5th pick. We'd end up trading the pick down to either the Bulls or Bobcats to get some depth and any position plus that teams pick to select Noah, or we would just take Jianlin or Wright with the 5th pick.

I really like Brewer, but we already have too many wing players. If Knight and/or Duhon is available I say go for it. Preferably Knight because he's more experienced and Noah may not be available at #9 with Charlotte at #8.

Why do you say that? I think Horford would compliment Al very well, actually, because he's very fundamentally sound and he's an excellent low-post defender. That would be a very nice looking tandem down low. They can both play either the 4 or 5, both excellent rebounders, both have a soft touch, Al would provide the big scoring numbers while Horford would provide solidity and defense, and Horford is also very strong. I think he'd be a great fit in Boston, he's exactly what we need (size, strength, and most importantly - defense). I want Horford, but I'm not so sure he'll be available at 5.

unless Memphis is as dumb as Atlanta, Horford won't be there at #5Yi is a risk with so many solid players available.Brewer is ready to help, but unless Perkins makes the turn like Al did this year, we really need help up front.Noah is a reach, Wright could be the answer, but I think he's gonna take time to develop.

He also seems to be a bit better shooter than Al, so maybe they're games will complement one another. I'm just not sold on the center thing. With that said, I still don't want Yi or Wright, and Hortford is most likely going to Memphis, so trading down seems like the best option.

If you want a player who will actually make an impact and can play center if need be, pick Horford at 5.

Having a real center is a huge advantage these days. Hawes plays awful defense and will take years to develop. He doesn't fit in the least. Just taking a guy who will make an impact at a position thats already filled makes no sense unless he's so good you re-work your roster to make room for him. That's not Hortford, although he wouldn't necessarily be a bad fit. Noah fits better but Hortford is the better player. Is Hortford worth more than Noah and Brevin Knight or Chris Duhon combined? I'd have to say no.
