Re: Amare to Detroit?!?!?!?!? This won't happen. The Suns don't want to deal Amare, they want to deal Marion. Not to mention, the Pistons don't even any valuable assests they want to trade outside of Rasheed. They have no lottery picks either.
Re: Amare to Detroit?!?!?!?!? Has anyone considered if the Pistons can put a package of Sheed, 27th pick and whoever else for Amare the Suns would have 3 picks in the 1st round? With those 3 picks the most obvious move for the suns would be to move up and replace Amare or whoever with a lottery pick. I know it is a long shot but maybe the Sonics will listen, so the Suns could land Durant. I mean Sheed was once in the west, so he know's the kind of style they run and I know Sheed could still somewhat run the floor. Not to mention his contract ends after next season, and if you are the suns if you don't think Sheed is working out, you can trade him since the contract is expandable. Like I said there are a lot of possibilities out there but I hope we can land Amare, so we can see the duo of Amare-Amir. HoLLa baCk
Re: Amare to Detroit?!?!?!?!? Phoenix is not going to trade Amare Stoudemire for anybody in the league... probably not even for Durant or Oden. Phoenix is looking to unload Marion if they get the right deal, not Amare.And I don't see Amare being that big of an upgrade for Detroit over Rasheed. Rasheed is the better defender, more versatile, and fits that team better. The only plus that this would bring for the Pistons is they would lose some of the technical fouls that Rasheed brings (Amare was up there in technicals this year too, I believe).

They'd rather get a couple of good old role players... yup that's what I'd do if I was an NBA gm.

You can't trade a franchise big man especially a 24 year old one at that for nothing less then another young franchise big (Bosh, Howard, Oden) as you do not recieve equal value in return.

I mean it don't hurt to dream about a future duo of Amare-Amir in the front court, but in reality for it to happen the Pistons would have to wait till Amare's contract is up to have a chance. If the Pistons are sticking w/ Sheed(most likely) then that still leaves ??'s at the 5 spot. It's either we find someone this off-season or start Mc Dyess or Maxiell at the 4 and have Sheed at the 5. Nobody wants Sheed...he's aging and gets too outta control sometimes...This is the worst rumor ever not to mention how you wouldnt trade any other starter but instead give up Delfino? and Murray? Be realistic next time...
