I'd be willing to bet you would. No need. Like i said. Probably as right as any other scenario and it is what you are saying now. I'm good with that.

The rookie scum and the homeless bum
fought to death for a cookie crumb.
From the OMG (your drunken chum)
came a prodigious belch of lime and rum.
    Riverman, your time will come
now sit in the corner and suck your thumb!

It came off that way. Ok then. Maybe he could have. That's reasonable. But, if the Blazers waited to bring him back till the playoffs, he would be rusty and not as effecient or helpful for the team. The Blazers would be more likely to lose games, maybe even get swept. They need to be as close to full power as they can going in.

Bringing him back now, after three weeks of rest for his knee strain whuch is more than is reccomended, he can get that rust off in the last few games and get back to form. (He had 9 points in 25 mins = rust)

I don't see any harm in chasing the third seed. There are only 2 games left against two non playoff teams. It will probably all be sorted out tonight anyway.

I’m not sure the assumption that he would be more rusty if he didn’t play is true.

    1) He’s gonna be somewhat rusty regardless, it’s not clear how much 3 meaningless games against shit teams played in dead stadiums will really help prepare for ultra-intense playoff games. It could even be counter productive by making him acclimated to this garbage level of competition.

    2) We could probably end up playing him more minutes in the playoffs if he takes more time off now.

The only way to get into shape for a NBA game is to play in some NBA games.

He'd be more rusty if he waits to play. Those 3 "meaningless" games are important for him to get back in form before the Blazers see the highly intensive play off atmosphere. It's not about the level of competition. It's getting his shot back. Getting his legs under him. Getting back in form after not playing basketball for 3 weeks.

That makes no sense. If we play him now, he can play more in the playoffs because he will have a chance to be back in form. If we didn't play him now, he'd be a rust bucket in the playoffs. He'd get winded. He only played 25 minutes last game. Scored only 9 points. If we waited, it would be just like that, only in the playoffs.

NBA regular season games and NBA playoff games are literally nothing alike.

Honestly, I’d take 9/6/6 from him in playoffs. I liked his playmaking.

Maybe. I think we can all agree that hopefully he doesn’t play too many minutes in this bullshit back to back though.

My guess NBA regular season games are much closer to playoff games then one on one's with Steve Blake...

Me too, I always liked him, I wasn't trying to take a shot at him.

I do like the 8pt shot they have in the playoffs.

And the cube they use instead of a ball.

But the gun play is stupid. I mean come on, if you're going to shoot a ref use something better than Nerf.
