If Tim Duncan and the Spurs proceed to win this years Championship again, do you think he is a lock for the Hall of Fame? And if the Cavaliers miracurously come back and the Spurs lose, do you still think Duncan is in the HOF?Discuss.

Wow...Duncan doesn't need to win any more championships to be a lock for the Hall...

I completely agree, with or without another championship in his career, Duncan is already a lock for the hall of fame. 3 championships already, two league MVP's, over 15,000 career points scored, and over 8,000 career rebounds recorded, and 1800 career blocks. He has been the anchor of one of the best defenses in league history, and the centerpiece of his three championships. He is arguably the greatest power forward to have ever played, he could quite today and become a first ballot hall of famer no problem. To go along with that, the NBA community loves his attitude and how he plays, so he will be very well liked heading in also.

Duncan is a lock for the hall of fame. No questions asked. He could suffer a career ending injury and would still be in the HOF. I've felt this way for a while now. You don't need stats to prove he's HOF worthy. Just watch the guy play..

The man is a lock. 3 Finals MVP's alone will lock you in. He has three and two regular season MVP's, to go along with everything that Valo said.

I think a better topic is if Lebron is in the HOF yet?

Wow, Hall of Fame? Most people would not only call Duncan a Hall of Famer, but also the best PF to ever play the game.

He is a lock for the Hall and I didn't even realise some people didn't think so already. However, he isn't the greatest PF to ever play the game, not yet.

You act like I'm getting carried away and that I'm the first to ever say it, when in fact, a LOT of people think this way... and with good reasoning. You can make your cases for Charles Barkley, you can make a case for Karl Malone, but they haven't done what Duncan has. Sure, they were maybe quicker and more noticed because of their style and the amount of points they put up, but they haven't done what Duncan has. Duncan has been dominant on both ends of the floor his entire career, he has 3 titles (working on 4 as we speak), 2 MVP's, leadership, he's classy, he's a great teammate, etc. Everything you can ask for.Even Charles Barkley himself said on TNT that Duncan is the best of all-time. Chuck said "It really really kills me to say that somebody was better than me... but Tim Duncan was." He said it 100% seriously, and he truly believed it, much like a lot of people.

yeah, but that just leads to a whole nother argument and even more speculation and you're gonna have that odd nut who'll disagree with everything....seems like it would be impossible to rank by posistion, I definetley couldn't, maybe you can, but there's bound to be people to disagree over posistion, and then rankings
