SEASON SERIES NOTES
• Oklahoma City swept Portland 4-0, one season after Portland swept Oklahoma City 4-0.
• The Thunder’s average margin of victory in the four wins was 7.0 points.
• Damian Lillard posted his highest scoring average against a Western Conference opponent vs. the Thunder this season, averaging 34.8 points (46.2% FG, 25.0% 3-PT, 91.7% FT) to go with 4.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.50 steals in four games.
• Lillard scored a season-high 51 points vs. the Thunder on March 7.
• Lillard posted career highs in free throws (18) and attempts (20) in the March 7 overtime loss to the Thunder.
• CJ McCollum averaged 19.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in four games.
• Paul George paced the Thunder vs. Portland this season, posting averages of 38.0 points (45.2% FG, 45.9% 3-PT, 85.0 FT%), 10.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.75 steals.

PLAYOFF SERIES NOTES
• The series marks Portland’s first playoff matchup against a divisional opponent since facing the Lakers in 2002 as members of the Pacific Division. The Trail Blazers have never faced a Northwest Division opponent since the division was formed in 2004-05.
• This marks the first playoff series between the Trail Blazers and Thunder since the franchise moved from Seattle to Oklahoma City prior to the 2008-09 season.
• The Trail Blazers have now faced every Western Conference franchise in their current city in the playoffs with the exception of Sacramento.
• Portland played Seattle four times in the postseason, going 8-8 vs. the Sonics with each team winning two series.
• The Sonics defeated the Trail Blazers 4-2 in the 1978 Western Conference Semifinals.
• Seattle beat Portland 2-1 in a first-round matchup in 1980.
• In 1983, Portland defeated Seattle 2-0 in the first round.

Questions we need answers to.
Who would win in a game of horse.
Westbrick or Meyers Leonard?
Who is more emotional.
Westbrick or Meyers Leonard.
Could @KingSpeed beat Meyers Leonard 1v1?

It's just one more game.
It is not the most important
It is not going to decide the series
It would be nice to get this win.
Getting a split while there would be really really good.
Getting them both would be awesome
Losing both would be holding serve.
Listen to the way Lillard answered the last question to his press conference after game two.
In Lillard we trust!

Question....how do you know what jerseys the teams are wearing?

When I saw it was a red out for game 2 I figured we'd be wearing our red jerseys. Was surprised we were wearing the white jerseys again for game 2.

Edit: Championship teams have mentioned how winning the third game is easily the hardest game to win for them. So don't be surprised to lose this game.

Man if we won this game it would be over. There is no way OKC would have the morale to stop us anymore. Westbrook would feel his pride totally destroyed and just go insane in game 4 and shoot his team out of the game.

They'll probalby shot better, but even if they do, can't see them having more 3s than us. They will be nervous and that's our chance. Westbrook's basketball IQ is always plus for us. Dame have to be on same level, straight in his head.

Going with "Road Red" jerseys.
Anyone know the winning percentage this year with red on?

Both teams are flying today morning it seems. Not sure why our team isn't going tomorrow and have another night in POR.

@ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP ?
Playoff travel is definitely different. It's only one flight there and one flight back. Earliest they come back is Sunday late or Monday morning.
To me it makes sense to get there and start the routine. Be playoff ready.

We have done this in the past as well. We have also left on east coast road trips right after the past 2 years' all-star breaks a day early. Coaches like getting into that "Road Mode" a day earlier. It's weird, but there are LESS distractions on the road. Guys can stay dialed in more. Team meals/meetings at the hotel. More structure. Easier for the coaches to keep an eye on the guys.
And yes it is pretty normal for the team to fly back the day AFTER the game as well. Wanting everybody to get a good night sleep.

Meyers did a pretty good job against Adams, he has the body and the strength to compete with him in the paint, but i'm not sure how he plays on the road, it's easy to play with confidence at home, hopefully he is mentally ready to play in front of the Okc crowd

I'd love a sweep but more realistically, hoping for at least a split and a win in Game 5. That would set the Blazers up for what I believe would be an extra day or so of rest before the winner of the Spurs/Nugs series. Also, it would just be less of a mental grind which is huge this time of year.

Btw wtf should we do with Evan turnover? He's awful, he can not even beat Fat Felton, he's completely useless, whenever he's on the court OKC is having a run, and it makes life for Seth, Hood and Collins a lot more difficult to play alongside with this dumb player. Maybe we should stagger Dame and CJ again for those two road games. I hope Evan turnover never ever steps on the court in a Blazers jersey, he's horrible

I tend to agree with you. 3 guard rotation with Curry playing about 24 minutes and Dame/CJ staggered and playing 36 minutes each. Hood/Moe/Layman/Aminu can have all the forward minutes. Turner is ancillary--should be 3rd string.

Sit his ass down.

Play Layman, play Simons, play Seth or Hood more, shorten the rotation, I don't care there's plenty of options, but he is the worst and needs to Sit. His. Ass. Down.

Of course--after we all crap all over him, watch him be Westbrook-lite (without the ill-advised 3's) on Friday, running the bench offense to perfection.

I mean, not likely, but I wouldn't put it past him.

I want a sweep too but would be happy winning in 5, 6, or 7.

It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I want Denver in round 2. That way we can win it for Nurk and he can tell them "have a happy summer". Not that I'm getting ahead of myself or anything.

I'd look for Westbrook to come out firing. He seems to do this when his back is against the wall, while he attempted 39 and 43 attempts in their two elimination games in the first round last year. I'm totally OK with him doing this btw.

I think OKC will shoot better at home and Portland is going to have to play with them and withstand the early emotion/run that is likely to occur.
