Listen here- http://www.wxyt.com/pages/112909.phpUnder top raped. Here's a quick recap. Big thanks to SoundTheToll at the Pistons.com forums for the summary and quotes.
Referring to Amir Johnson-
On Amir-
^^He basically said it was Marion, the hosts said it was Marion, he just didn't confirm it.^^On the draft-
On the players respecting Flip -
About what he's looking for in the draft-
The summary- (Again, SoundTheToll wrote this, not me)-------------Phoenix is shopping Marion. Joe pulled a *wink, wink* in not saying it, but saying it. PHX offered Marion for two starters and both first round picks. Joe D, needless to say, laughed it off.Nobody is safe from a trade, although it seems that Amir may be (see quotes on Amir above)Joe made a major point of letting it be known that the youth WILL have a MAJOR impact on the season next year.----------------This was very interesting, and makes me very excited for the off-season. Should be fun and full of action.

Interesting stuff...I really like how Joe is putting down his foot on the whole younger core going into the rotation...Detroit's problem is we do rely on our "four starters" way too much. Our bench was better this year, but not good enough - to be contenders again, we need a bench that has key role players that actually can make a difference. Jason Maxiel was living proof in the minutes he played last year. Now imagine Jason Maxiel, Amir Johnson, Will Blalock doing the same thing Maxiel did - being productive, and giving the starters enough room to be comfortable. Also - that reference to the PHX situation was laughable. Trading even two of our starters is a joke - adding in both of our 1st round picks is disrespectful and stupid.

Sp Phoenix wants Prince, Rasheed, 15, 27 for Marion. Yeah that's pretty bad.

They say Greed is the root of all evil...PHX is definitely over stepping some lines for one player...in reference to Flip Murray, he's a great player who deserves respect, I loved him in Seattle even tho he played behind Ray Allen, but whenever he played, he made things happen...as for their young core guys, I say they should play them...Maxiell was one of few that could get it done...going right at Lebron in the ECFs...I loved when he played Maxiell at Cincinatti its unfortunate he cut his hair...Can I get more info on Amir Johnson?

Amir Johnson is a 6'11-7' who is incredibly athletic and has a HUGE wingspan. He is the most athletic player on the Pistons, and apparently, he's the fastest. He's our 11th-12th man though, and that will change. This past year, he put up sick stats in the D-League (18.9 points per game, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.1 blocked shots per game, while shooting 62.3% from the field (Wikipedia)).

This was very interesting. My thoughts:-Joe stood up for Sheed when asked about his ejection, saying he was the only player to come with it every night. I really agree with him. -I'm really happy he made it clear that our young guys need minutes. -I'm really excited for the offseason now, especially the draft. Joe said he wants a guy who can create his own shot, whether it be a banger down on the block or a perimeter guy. Law and Stuckey can both do this very well. -I guess with Amir being considered "untouchable" that the little bit of worry we had about resigning him is gone.-He also said trading up, unless into the top 5, is pretty pointless with the draft being so deep.-I can't wait to see Amir get some minutes next season. He's a freak.- :HAHAHA: at what Phoenix was asking for.

I can't see Alex Acker ever having an important role on our team. I've never liked what I've seen from him when he played and I'm not sure why Joe is so in love with him.

Rasheed + 27 + Hunter for Marion would be more fair, I can't see why the Suns think they can get that much for Marion..pretty silly.Billups/Hamilton/Tayshaun/Marion/AmirThat seems like a fun as hell lineup to watch though.

What do y'all think is going to happen if Flip doesn't back up Joe D's statements about playing the younger guys? I do honestly think if Flip played Amir this season, you never know he could of been the Lebron stopper and we could of been giving a better fight than Cleveland is right now. HoLLa baCk

Pretty interesting.Normally Dumars is calm, and dosent talk much but he seemed pretty talkative that day. Gave away a lot of hints on the off-season. Seems like they wont hit a deal with Marion, and he might talk to Flip about his coaching sometime this off-season.I love Joey D. Hes straight up for real, and is in my opinon, the best GM in the league. He took a bunch of players who no one gave much credit, and turned them into winners. Hes working his magic again it seems like by taking Amir. I'd trust him any day with my draft pick.

Suns asking way to much for a player who dosen't come through in pressure situations. Sure he is great but vastly overpaid.

HMMMM.This is an interesting read. The Marion thing is a very interesting thought, and I wouldn't be opposed to trade either Rip or Rasheed, but DEF. not Tayshaun. But there is no way that Marion is worth 2 starters and 2 first rounders in a draft this strong. But I want Marion. Bad. We need to shake stuff up. And I love Amir, thus love that Joe wants him out there. Lets start doing more stuff this offseason, im excited.
