I like them both. Similar personalities, humble, family first. Both my favourites players in each sports
Wilson is perceived by many to be contrived, artificial, "fake"--even moreso after his "we got a deal" video. Lillard is generally understood to be one of the most "real" athletes out there. No artifice there at all. For that reason, I think Lillard's star shines brighter.
I’m capable of liking a player on a team that I don’t like. I’m not the first person to call him fake either. It’s a pretty popular opinion.
Its Wilson by a mile, but a lot of that is his wife is an attention whore. but who cares about the nfl. I could never go to a game with all the silly facepainting and outfits of the douchbag fans
After the last presidential election I realized that Portland is inside of a bubble...whether that's good or bad, it's not for me to say, but I do know Damian Lillard is inside that bubble.
Wilson. The NFL has a larger audience/fan base compared to the NBA. The Seahawks TV ratings here in Portland are huge, much higher than a Blazer game.
Lillard is the bigger star. He has his own shoe line. Imagine Russell Wilson vs Lillard walking down the street in NY. Dame will be mobbed. Russell will be taking pictures of fans with his wife.
Damon will get his max deal soon. Wilson can only dream of the type of money Dame will make in his career.
If Both Russ and Dame walked the streets of Seattle and Portland, which one will get more recognized in the city where they don't play ball? Will Dame be more recognized in Seattle than Wilson in Portland? What if both walked in Eugene/Corvallis?
