Yes, we have several big WRs and a star in Davante Adams. The speedster would certainly help stretch the field especially in plays with slants and curls.

The Packers are such a weird team. Most teams its like oh there are big weaknesses, for the Packers theres just not many strengths. The are very average everywhere but QB imo.

Yeah, and our defense has been going through several changes defensively the last 2 to 3 seasons.

I feel really good about the board with the 49ers picking 4th in the 2nd round tomorrow. I can't believe Jawaan Taylor didn't go in the 1st round.

I am hoping for Nadir Adderly, a Safety from Deleware, but would be happy with a bunch of players still on the board.

Gotta get Rodgers more weapons though. They shouldve taken Fant or traded dow. To take Marquise Brown.

And Tytus Howard did...a redshirt senior tackle from Alabama State who many had a seventh round grade on.

    The NFL Draft is bizarre.

I think too many GM’s, Scouts, Coaches, combines, pro days, analytics, it goes on and on. Too many teams overthink their drafts. It makes them do weird things.

Between Jawaan Taylor OT (value), Greedy Williams CB, and Nadir Adderly I'd be pumped with any one of those 3.

As a Steelers fan --I probably shouldn't have shared that on this board lol--I'm OK with the Bush Jr. pick.

Unlike the Steelers to trade up, but he fills a big need and strengths fit into today's NFL.

LJ Collier sure does have that Michael Bennett Type pursuit and bull rush move, I think he will fit in with the Seahawks well.

To add to that, I think the bigger emphasis on need, scheme fit and physical tools also plays a huge part.

But yeah, seems like you see too many teams leave value on the board to get "their guy", even if he may be available multiple rounds later.

Unfortunately it takes 2 teams to trade and if you have identified someone you want and the value for him is ten spots later that means you have to find someone in that range to trade, not always easy, especially in a Defensive draft when most teams aren’t looking to trade up.

Your completely right about scheme and fit, a lot of the talking heads don’t take that into account when pumping out a new mock every week. Josh Allen as an example, great pass rusher in a 3-4 as an OLB but would get fucking mauled trying to set the edge in a conventional 4-3 as an end. Fans look at mocks and take that as the perceived value of the player, not even close.

    To the Packer fan.

    Savage is a stud.

Gary is scary, number 1 ranked player coming out of HS, ZERO production in College. Scored a 9 on the Wonderlic, for reference a 10 means you’re literate. I get he’s not playing QB but a 9 is pretty concerning imo.

    Top of the 2nd studs

    Z Allen
    Ya-Sin
    Sternberger
    Ford
    Butler
    Winovich
    Ferguson
    Risner

Top of the 2nd duds(but who will go)

    Metcalf
    Irv Smith Jr

Side Note: I watched the draft with Andre Dillards cousin and it was pretty cool watching Philly trade up for him.

Chiefs better get a WR for Patty cause Hill is DONE. No way you let that POS back in the building, Andy likes his DV guys but after hearing that tape I’d think they would have people boycotting if they ever let him put their uniform on again.

I understand the concern. And I have my concerns as well. This has huge potential for boom or bust depending on how he's utilized within Mike Pettine's system.

Savage is a good pick to help solidify the secondary in the defense.

Day 2: We need to find some weapons for Aaron Rodgers.

A certain game vs a certain team who many on this board may be a fan of.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Nasir Adderley is also my second-round draft crush. There are other good options, but Adderley strikes me as the closest thing this draft has to an Earl Thomas/Ed Reed type of center fielder. He has unteachable instincts.

The 49ers badly need a great single high safety for their system.
