AP isn't a top 10 RB. I said "4.7YPC isn't good for a Top 10 RB" and out of the top 10 RBs you listed, they had an average of a little over 4.7YPC. So it's average. Exactly. Also, Connor and Kamara are 10 times better pass catches than Connor.
So now he has a "high workload" instead of "splitting carries and missing games". Funny how you didn't reference his "high workload" when you stated how he was 5th in rushing yards.
Except he's not, because he literally can't catch the ball. I listed 11 RBs that are at least a full tier above him. Seattle fans get carried away with average starters.
So he’s an average top 10 back? Based on last season, that’s accurate. He isn’t a pass catcher, but then again our offense doesn’t utilize out of the backfield RB routes, they are used for an extra blocker for our offensive line.
I’ve said this many times, Seattle ran the ball a TON as a team. You’re twisting words right now and being rather defensive for no reason. He DID split carries AND had a high workload. He had 247 carries, the team had 536. He accounted for 46.2% of carries on the team. For further reference the best back in the NFL, Elliott had 304 carries his team had 439.. that’s 69.2% of the carries.
I heard his surgery was rough, really hope he gives it one more go but if he’s risking life altering complications I hope he hangs them up and enters the ring of honor quickly. Love Angry Doug!
@BonesJones Apparently DK Metcalf's draft interview at the combine with the 49ers was really bad. I don't know if altercation is the right word but I guess it got kind of awkwardly heated. From what I read he was pretty much taken off their board. I was kind of happy about that given he hasn't really done anything other than be a physical specimen but wouldn't have minded taken a chance on him where the Seahawks did. Hurd is kind of the same though. Physical specimen without big time production. I thought they needed more of a possession type receiver instead of a small guy like Deebo so while I'm fine with drafting Deebo I'm also glad that Hurd is 6'5" to get some height out there.
I'm just glad that the Niners have finally prioritized WR in the past two years. Outside of Crabtree, I never felt like they did.
Last time they took a receiver high was terrible though when they took AJ Jenkins in the 1st round in 2012. Don't forget about Goodwin when talking about our receiver core too. He's developed into a good WR.
I was so mad the year we took LaMichael James in the 2nd round, not that he's a receiver. I've seen LaMichael the last 3 weeks as his team has played either before or after mine and he looks sooooo tiny.
I see my Packers selected a TE in the 3rd round. We might see some 3 TE formations this season. Hopefully this guy will be an improvement. Time will tell.
