My sister had a wedding at something like 7,000 feet and it fucking sucked.... and I wasn't trying to play basketball.

Also, I was an extra in a National Geographic documentary that was retelling the story of Rangers fighting the Taliban. We were doing sprints in the snow up on the top of Mt Hood. I actually had my legs give up on me. It was the craziest feeling ever.

If Kanter can't play, I kind of hope Skal gets some minutes. Not as a starter, but something significant. I can see Meyers starting and helping out. Collins could come in and do some damage, but Skal is the guy most likely to come in a wreak havoc on the Nugs. He is so mobile and has good range, he could present some problems at either of the big positions. I realize he would also likely get worked on defense, but . . .

The thing i would want from Skal is to come in and play his best. Just give effort on both sides. 100% effort would be a huge help. Nobody could expect him to have a huge impact. Just give it your all.

Agreed. If he could come in with energy I would imagine some good things would happen. Just have to make sure he doesn't get abused in the post.

Of course it's FAM and not FAMS. This is used because of the infamous FAMS thread years ago. Learn the forum history, then post.

My daughters soccer team played regionals in Albuquerque New Mexico when she was 13 and it's about the same elevation as Denver and the team didn't have any issues with the elevation. It was also very hot with temperatures in the upper 80's and 90's. Of course she did have an issue with the other team from Hawaii as she was taken out and ended up fracturing her wrist. Fortunately she was able to just wrap it and only missed one game.

Of course everyone is affected differently but I think highly trained and conditioned athletes are less likely to have an issue.

I expect some hangover tonight. Everyone’s talking about the nuggets schedule, but the blazers haven’t played in a week, and are coming off the highest of highs. Just hoping that stabilizes during this game instead of game 2.

I believe it was all series since 1984 from the start I saw. Takes a lot to move it much with that much data.

Ive been watching most of the playoff games and what I've seen, is teams coming out right away, trying to get into a rhythm from the arc.
If Dame and CJ just offset Jokic's performance it could be a long night without one or two others stepping up.

I understand that people are doing a bit of trash talking - but if anybody really believes that Denver isn't a tough team, they are about to get a real shock. Winning this series would be far more impressive than the OKC win.

Okay, they've got Jokic, Millsap, home court and mile high going for them.
We've got pretty much everything else.
Almost forgot, they've got Plumlee and Barton off the bench.
I see this as a win for the Blazers if Kanter can play some.

"Skal is the guy most likely to wreak havoc on the Nugs...."
Look...he's a nice story based on the one game you've seen him play, but if for any reason he sees the court other than nuclear garbage time, the Blazers are in huuuuuge trouble.
My guess is he might get an invite to camp/summer league. Maybe.
Folks, there's a reason he aint playin and this aint the time of year for a tryout.

I’m not even that nervous about the game tonight. It’s just Game 1 on the road, if we lose here we still got plenty of time, if we win that’s a huge advantage and the pressure will be on Denver. Even if we go back to Portland with 2 losses in the first two games we will still have a good chance to progress.
