Theres a bit of trade rumors floating around about the Grizzlies, so this is just a thread to discuss and post them.The most recent trade rumor ive read is 4th pick, Damon Stoudemire, and Stromile Swift for Jason Richardson and 18th pick.Im not sure about this one, if J-Rich can stay healthy, I would do this but he isnt known for being healthy and we would be hurt in bigs. We don't need another guard/foward, we have Miller and Gay. Richardson would fit in good with our style of play, but we simply just don't need to trade our pick that we can get Horford with. We'd essentially be trading 2 bigs and a PG for a guard/foward. And, we need a point guard and a big, so it makes no sense at all. I agree...the only thing that I would like about this is the fact we are getting a player who can score off the dribble, which Miller can be questionable, and Gay may not be at that level.I still hoping we somehow can get Miller back on the bench with still a solid starter at the 2. Theres still questions about Kinsey and what he can actually do, but if he is that good he could start. Its not that I dont want Miller to start, but with our style we would need to play our bench often, and a Miller-Warrick bench combo would be awesome.
Im read a rumor that the Griz might be involved in a Minny-Boston trade where we move mainly swap picks with Minny and we get West and Mccants....Dont know how much truth there is to it, I heard it from a Griz fan who supposedly knows a insider...so take it for what it is.I dont know much of the other details, but if we can do that without giving up any of our young players, I would love that. We got a combo guard in West, a shooter in McCants(which Iavaroni has already said we need more shooters) and we can take a good glue/energy guy in Noah with Minnys pick...

For the offense Iavaroni wants to run, we need more shooters, just like in PHX. And West and McCants would be two good players to run in the offense. Then, take someone like Noah who is a good hustle player and leader that plays good D and can run the floor. He would be Memphis' new Shane Battier, because Memphis definatly missed him last season.
Yeah, it seems thats not going to happen....but im very torn between Horford and Noah...Noah just seems like everything we lost in Battier...but Horford has just as good character but can be a star...
At the Grizzlies Official Draft Party, Mike Miller was supposed to be one of the players to entertain throughout the entire draft, but today Grizzly management asked Mike Miller to leave by 6:30...Im pretty sure Memphis might be working out a deal to get that big man...which we arent sure who yet. Of all the speculation, I hope its not Randolph and its Chandler....this means we will most likely draft Brewer if Miller is traded.This also means we lose our shooting though, maybe we have a trade worked out where we send AJ or Roberts for somebody like Luther Head...which Houston does need some bigs...
