So now that the season is officially over what did you think about the past season of basketball?

It was a bad season. Last year was amazing with the 3 man scoring race, some new teams popping up as contenders, new stars breaking out last year, much more dramatic post season, etc.... This year was a year of injuries, trades and a very boring post season.

I disagree, I thought it was a very entertaining season, and the post-season in the west was very entertaining.

It sucked. Besides the Mavs/Suns regular season runs, the Warriors upset, Kobe's scoring run, and Game 5 of the Cavs Pistons series there really was nothing very entertaining about the season. All Star Weekend was a joke, there were tons of injuries, there was one 7 game series in the playoffs. It was just a very bad year for the NBA.

I liked this season alot, but mainly because my team had one hell of a season winning 51 games and making the western conference finals. plus Deron Williams showed everyone why he was picked third so hopefully that will shut up the so called experts. I also enjoyed watch Kobe score 50 points at will, though him scoring 50 is starting to get mundain. I loved seeing all the last second heroics this season, Agent Zeros buzzer beaters, Memo bailing the Jazz asses out, Rasheeds heave vs Denver, the last second Allyoop to Dwight Howard, the fight and seeing Carmelo run like a scared bi*ch, seeing the Lakers fall apart at the half way point, the Golden State Warriors playoff run. there was a lot of cool sh*t this year.

Incredibly boring.<ul>[*]AI gets traded to get joined up with Melo, Nuggets still suck[*]Webber moves to Detroit, they get better but still lose in the playoffs[*]Wade gets injured, Heat lose first round[*]Mavs and Suns have a disappointing post-season[*]Spurs win again, ho hum[*]Ben Wallace goes to Chicago, nothing much happens there either[*]Kobe cries because he doesn't win championships anymore[/list]About the only things that were entertaining were Utah, Golden State for a short time, and Melo slapping a guy in the face. Everything else was just a tease. Aside from Deron Williams, I wouldn't say any real stars were born this year. Next year will hopefully be better... you got Oden and Durant coming in, China could get another pretty good player in the NBA, and I personally will like seeing Acie in the NBA. This draft class could noticeably change the NBA immediately or at least within the next couple years, so yeah. I could see how you could have enjoyed this past season if you're a Toronto, Utah, or GS fan, but for me it was just a disappointment.

It did suck and again I hyped up a Suns series and it only goes to 6 for the 3rd straight year(win and loss vs. Mavs last two years before this and loss vs. Spurs this year). This series was getting exciting and then the suspensions came. :-/ The playoffs were the most boring playoffs that I can remember. The Suns-Mavs games were the best thing this season...and they both blew it in the playoffs. Just a sad season for me, can't wait till the next one starts so we can move on from this.

People are saying adding AI and the Nuggets still suck, but all the Nuggets need is a guy who can get 15 ppg with nice shooting and they could easily be a contender ideally a sg. Put a guy like Ben Gordon on the nuggets and id pick them to win the west, they are just a small piece away. This season for the nuggets was full of injuries and a new system. I think next season they will surprise alot of people.

He really didn't though... even when you consider injuries, their record didn't make a really drastic change. What I am trying to say is that even when AI was out, they didn't start sucking or anything like you might think. I would agree with you about them being one piece away from being a contender, but I don't think that they have enough healthy guys on their team or the means to pick up that other piece you're talking about. They will be pretty good on paper, again.

I thought this season was pretty average compared to last year, but I do think 07-08 will be very entertaining. We have a lot of big name guys that are free agents who will be moving around, we have two rookies coming in who may be future Hall of Famers, LeBron will want revenge, Wade will be back, and every team is going to try and prove themselves for the better. Obviously those aren't the best reasons, but I just believe next season will be 10x better than this season. :dribble:

The Nuggets will be much better next season, especially if they get their piece. Even more then just a ''paper'' team.

Also, injury is a part of the game. If you don't believe that AI will be injured at some point in the next season, you're a pretty ballsy guy. I don't get what you think is going to change between this and next season.

We'll just see what happens next year though.

I didn't find this season much enjoyable. Most likely because we had the worst record in the NBA. I watched college basketball a lot more this season.

I don't think he'll miss half the season or anything, but it's not unreasonable to think that he could be out more than 10 games. There are some other guys that will miss games, too. Sure, he missed some games this year, but it wasn't anything ridiculous. It's not like the Nuggets would have been in the 4 or 5 seed with AI in. If Melo had not gotten suspended, it could have also helped, but I'm just not seeing this team to be a contender. I'm not condemning them, but I just wouldn't place a bet in their favor, either.
