Well it seems as though the saga continues, and it looks like this summer the hottest player on the block will be Kobe Bryant, and with that will come a load of trade rumors with most likely every team in the NBA wanting in on Kobe. So, I just decided to make one thread for it, post all rumors you see out there.PE.com<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>One report had the Lakers hoping to acquire Bulls center Ben Wallace, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and Chicago's No. 1 draft pick (9) for Bryant.</div>LinkI think this is a great trade for the Lakers, probably the best offer they could get. This gives them two young talented players are the 3 and 4, a defensive monster inside, and a draft pick that could give them a good player at whatever position they need. For the Bulls however, this trade blows for them. They already need an offensive post prescence, and with this, they are trading away their defense downlow. Then, they would have no pick to get a big man back.

Yeah, if the Lakers do end up trading Bryant, they won't get back equal value for him. I think his best shot will be the Knicks with all the big contracts they have. Plus, that is where he wants to go.

It's a lot..but I don't see how anybody could say no to getting Kobe Bryant...no matter what. If Kobe was proposed to me..I wouldn't laugh at anything...

Why does he want to go to the Knicks though? Thats odd, its not like they have a future as bright as the Bulls.

For the Bulls that is a horrible trade as they lose all their youth and they wouldn't be any better than they are now.

I remember posting it. If I can find it, then I will post it again.

New York has very talented players...and probably enough to pull off a Kobe trade and still have talent around Bryant. Kobe could take the Knicks really far...especially in the East.

I would do the Bulls trade. Don't know why the Bulls would do it though. I know it's Kobe, but your trading your 3 best players, and all you leave is a lineup ofC-?PF-TyrusSF-NocioniSG-KobePG-Duhon That's not alot of options, but not bad considering LeBron can take the Cavs to the Finals, so maybe the Bulls think Kobe can take them to the Finals in the terrible east. The trade really benefits the Lakers as they can build a TEAM.C-WallacePF-OdomSF-DengSG-GordonPG-FarmarAnd get 2 solid players with the 9 and 20 picks in the draft. Never thought I'd say this about Kobe being traded, but...<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%">DO IT MITCH!</span>

Bulls would be idiots(and they're not) to do this trade. I wouldve done more than just laughed at the Lakers if I was Paxson...

The KNicks might get far in the East, maybe in the Finals, but there would be better oppertunities with other teams to actually win the whole thing.

Knicks don't have anyone I want here. Not Q-Rich, not Francis, not Marbury, not Lee, don't even try to mess with that crap and those contracts.

If they can find a way to get Kobe without trading Marbury and Curry, then the Knicks big 3 would be very nice. Kobe, Marbury, and Curry could do some damage in the East. They may not be the best defensive team, but they'd get it done on offense. But it would also depend on what type of role players they would keep.

I am not saying it isn't a better situation than LA, but I feel there are better teams that he could possibly go to than NY.

You're forgetting that the Lakers have all the power in this situation. They can choose not to trade Kobe if they want. It's not like Kobe's gonna hold out or anything. He'd have the opportunity to opt out in 2 years, but by then the Lakers most likeley will have either made a deal to satisfy him or had their young talent grow to the point where they can contend.

There's trades I'd do, I like the Chicago one too, but I'd also doKobe to Washington for Arenas, Butler, Jamison and a 1stKobe to Boston for Pierce, Jefferson, and a 1stKobe to Portland for Greg Oden, Brandon Roy and Zach RandolfKobe to the Clippers for Elton Brand, Chris Kaman, Corey Magette and a 1stKobe won't go to a West team though, so the last 2 deals won't go. Teams saw LeBron take that team to the Finals, and well Kobe is the best player in the world, so East teams will give anything for Kobe.

In all of those trades, the other teams are giving up way too much.
