This move may be switching the strategy around in the 2nd to get a point, seeing that Jackson is oft-injured and we don't know how many games Paul will play next season.
People are gonna jump on the oppurtunity to pick up a future hall of famer like Pargo.Blah the Hornets don't need him. They could get way better in the draft in the 2nd round. Plus CP won't have anymore of the injury problems, it was just one year that he had them.9.2 PPG and 2.5 APG isn't that impressive for a point guard.
I thought Pargo did a solid job of running the offense and setting things up when Jackson was hurt. He didn't average great stats, but he did alot things well, and didn't make alot of big mistakes. I think he can really contribute with more minutes on a team that needs a solid backup point guard.
Don't leave Pargo!! He was really solid running the point when Paul and Jackson were out. I guess we can't keep everyone, although I'd rather see Jackson leave and Jannero stay.

Not to mention he was a good free throw shooter. He fell off towards the end of the season, but in Dec/Jan it was not uncommon for him to put up 20 points and 7 assists coming off the bench. Sometimes he jacked up too many threes though, but hey, BJax does it too...

I think your forgetting he was our third option at the point and barely saw minutes when Paul and Jackson were healthy. Like noballer stated, he was putting up 20 point games along with 7 or 8 assists when he started around midseason. Not to mention he's durable, so it looks like B-Jack will have to avoid injuries now that Pargo has left.
heh Pargo I remember the good old days when he was with the Lakers he didnt get much playing time but I'd rather have him start than Smush Parker...
Pargo is solid, I like what I saw the few times I got a chance to watch New Orleans play (no more than 4-5). He's a nice energy booster and he can shoot the ball, but he really is a bit out of control sometimes. I think he's a decent player, but he'll likely get overpaid by somebody, much like Dan Dickau did. A little side note: The best Pargo memory I have is when he was in Chicago a couple years back when he nailed two HUGE 3's in a row in a playoff game.
I have only seen a little of Pargo, but I saw it live and in person which makes my opinion more important.I thought he was pretty good, I saw him in a game against the Mavs this past year. We were crushing you guys and Bobby got kicked out, but Pargo did decently compared to the rest of the team. Very fine player.

On top of that, it's almost a given these days that Jackson wont play the full season. Scott has never been too big on 3 point guard rosters, but we needed Pargo for insurance because we know he can deliver and because of Jackson. I just hope they find somebody that can fill in this third string spot; they suck at getting and keeping third strings past preseason, I remember Bryce Drew and Troy Bell never really making it.
I'm glad to see Pargo go. He was very erratic and inconsistent. Some nights he'd be Mr. Clutch while most nights he'd make costly errors and turnovers. We're still two deep at the point guard position. I don't think injuries are something that can be or should be predicted and I don't think teams should build around injury probabilities.
