The only disappointment will be that the season is over. It's been a fun year. I didn't expect them to beat Denver so it wont be as deflating as least years Pelican debacle. Our forward spot isn't up to championship par and it's what I hope we get fixed in the offseason. The bright spot is that I now think Dame, CJ, Nurk and Enis, Zach are good enough to win a championship. Or as best as we can hope for.
Zach getting minutes in the post season you kind of seen him grow right before your very eyes. He has played against a very tough opponent and it looks like he is finding his shot, the next couple of games should show us if it is there to stay.
Ed Davis, Mo Williams, D Wright, C Kaman, Chief, Kanter etc...but the biggest plus is that they all wanted to stay here...across the board and now with OKC meltdown, Lakers meltdown, GS dysfuntion, Rockets fizzle....we're looking like a place where basketball players want to be. A lot is due to leadership but also due to front office and coaching stability....the revolving coaching door is fickle in the big markets...How many coaches have the Knicks, Lakers and Rockets had over the last half dozen years? People praise San Antonio for having a culture that's stable...we also have that going for us. Ed Davis would re-sign here in a heartbeat.
If we get blown out today, I will be disappointed at the whole season. Because it will mean that Stotts hasn't grown with the team. I really hope we see a coach who controls the game more ... I really want to see us play smart basket ball today on offense and on defense. If we lose a close one, then I won't really be pissed.
That was real smooth, how you casually tossed that one out there.... "I TOLD YOU SUCKAS, they'd get 53 wins...." Lol. Nice one!
They have met my expectations in the playoffs, and they've done it without Nurk. They are a better team now than when they started the season. They finished with a better regular season record than I predicted. I will not be disappointed with the team. That said, we have an unbelievable opportunity, and we can beat both of the teams in our way. Let's get to the finals!
I'm very disappointed that they lost a winnable game in game 4. I won't be disappointed over game 7 as the deck is stacked against them.
Let me rephrase: What free agent besides kanter was any good to merit us saying we got a "star-like" player? To which that answer is none. Now what i will say to that is it will probably change if we win tomorrow.
I actually think this is an interesting question even if it maybe is premature. One of the things I ask myself towards the end of every workday is, “am I satisfied with the work Ive done today?” If the answer is No, then usually I’ll stay late and try to at least get to a “kind of”. I mean its not like the Job is ever “done”, but I find evaluating my feelings on how satisfied I am with things frequently.
Platy, I too will be please regardless if they win Sunday or not, however, if they advance thats pie ala mode. When you look back and consider that this really is the 4th year since the rebuild the organization done pretty good, not without blunders, but with a nice degree of success also. Im really looking forward to next year already!
To me it happened with the wave after beating the Thunder...the narrative around the Blazers changed in that moment...players around the league were tweeting about Dame like crazy...he's arrived. This team is for real! I'm all in on this team.
Theyve been tweeting about dame for years saying hes underrated. Until they are here though, its all sound and fury signifiying nothing.
