The way this game was managed beginning with the strange lineup says “we can afford to forfeit a game”. Both Holder & Cortes Jr. should be shipped to Scranton (a la Green) to turn their pitching around. The only problem is Yankees’ pitching depth in the minors is not optimal.
With lack of pitching depth proves Senor Trashcan cannot wield his Napoleanic arm and get able, talented relievers. There’s nobody on the team nor in the minors to replace a Betances (when he’s right).
I cannot say it enough......who are those Yankee fans who feel comfortable with Boner manning the helm? It’s like wind him up, throw in two quarters and watch him spew Yankee management’s short version “toe the line”.
Trashcan lucked out with Urshela & LeMahieu. Still failing with reinforcements in the pen. Tomorrow is another day.
