I met Shane Battier at a Redbirds game. (Cardinals AAA team in Memphis)I got his autograph, which I have no clue where it is now....Man he was he tall though. Stuck out like a sore thumb.
I sat next to Jay Williams(the one drafted by the Bulls) at a local basketball game 5 or 6 years ago. He was only there for a couple of minutes, and I didn't realize it was him until he walked away.I also saw Jayson Williams(the one who played for the Nets) at my local YMCA a couple of times. He used to go there all the time, and he helped built a new gym or floor or something there.
I've had plenty. First, my cousin is Charlie Bell. I'm from flint so I'm always running into Mo Pete and Cleaves even though I can't stand Cleaves, he's in the nbdl anyways. I've been the Pistons' locker room a few times in 2003, once in 2004, and once in 2005. I meet every Piston player at season ticket holder things and Chauncey, Rip, Tay, Hunter, and those guys who has been here few years know who I am. Let's see, I've met a lot of road players too from being back in locker room and before games and stuff like that. I don't really feel like naming every I've met because there's a lot but I'll tell you Rip and Chauncey are probably the coolest, both pretty laid back. Some of the most cockiest guys are of course Kobe, Ben Wallace, and umm I'd say Tayshaun was a lil bit cocky his rookie year. I don't live near Detroit, I live in flint so don't see players a lot away from the arena but Chucky Atkins got a ride with us one time down here to play in one of our pro am games we have down here. Rodney White also has played in a pro am game down here along with Mo Pete and Cleaves and those guys. Oh, and not NBA but NFL. In 2003 I was at my first Detroit Shock home game and Charles Roger's sat right in front of us. I was little nervous to talk to him at first but me and my brother had won a pizza and let them get some. We ended up moving down to sit with them and had fun the rest of the night, that was pretty cool.
I met Detlef Schrempf over at a basketball tournament in Seattle, and got him to autograph a basketball for me. I also played against his son. I don't think he was six foot, but could already dunk off two feet, very athletic.I also met Desmond Mason at a 3-3 tournament in Seattle. They were doing a slam dunk contest across the street and we would go and check it out in between games.
Not an NBA player, but I just saw Jeff Pendergraph a couple hours ago at Herb Sendek's basketball camp. He's tallll!
I've met Najera about half a dozen times.Probably all the guys from OSU that now play pro. Desmond Mason, Tony Allen, both Grahams, John Lucas, & Ivan McFarlin all from previous camps. And they all dig the refer
My closest encounter? Probably with Paul Shirley, I completely regret everything that happened that night.
My dad is a carpenter and hes replaced the carpet in the two lockerrooms at The Pyramid(which he let me come along) and I got to meet Lorenzen Wright, Jason Williams, Ryan Humphrey and Mike Miller. That was pretty cool...If Jeremy Hunt ever gets to the NBA, I was like 5 feet away from him while my brother was talking to him after a pick-up game.I went to a Thadeuss Young game...wasnt that close to him at all though seeing that he went straight to the lockerroom right after the game.
I have seen and gotten Justin Reed's autograph. Later that day, he walked right in front of me. Baseball players - I walked around where the Ole Miss players after the games and before their game in Hoover, Alabama. None of them are that famous.... yet.Except for Mark Holliman who was the Cubs' top prospect in the middle of the season. I don't know if he still is because he was lost 3 straight outing after going 4-0. His record is now 6-5.

I met malik rose in a movie theater lobby. At work I have bagged groceries for Tim Duncan, Michael Finley, and Beno Udrih. It was weird bagging for Beno cause he was with his man friend and all he bought was chocolate, some salad, wine, and condoms. And when I bagged groceries for Tim, after he and his wife left the store, his wife came in 2 minutes later and bought the Sports Illustrated with him on the cover. I have also had Manu Ginobili, and Robert Horry and Fabricio Oberto come through my checkout line.
I've met quite a few NBA players, mostly Jazz players. I also cover the Utah summer league for my site, and the summer leagues a great place to meet players and former players. most the rookies and guys trying to make the teams have no problem to talk with you, thats actually how I've gotten most my autographs. I also got Marcus Browns warm up jersey from a few years ago, Brown played for the Blazers in the 90s and is one of the biggest stars in Europe.
I'm not going to count like going to a NBA game and being close to a player and getting autographs and like just watching them play in hs or w/e or camps because that would be a long list?I saw Tim Thomas to come watch his old hs furry jacket and sh*tLoren Woods walking down the stairs like real close to me from a Arizona vs Wake Forest gameprob more I forgot

Met Jalen Rose when he was playing in Chicago. Also met iggy and alando tucker when they were here playing in a hs all star game.
I met Gary Payton at the Community center by my house. He was there with his brother and his trainer. Me and my friend were the only ones in the gym so that was awsome.. we were watching him do his drills.. then a guy out of no where comes and starts shooting on one of the courts gp was doing his drills on.. gary got a little heated and said something to him and gave him a slap on the butt.. and the guy called the cops and the cops came and gary left. he signed autographs with my pen
Leon Powe once swung his little brother at me and hit me in the face back at Cal basketball camp a couple of years ago.At a basketball camp I did a couple years ago they cordoned off one of the courts so adonal foyle could practice in peace. Also Derek Fisher later came to talk to us; the dude like polishes his forehead.I got an autograph from Magic Johnson at a copeland's shoe store. He said "hey what's up" to me and I said absolutely nothing because I was dumbfounded to be in his presence.EDIT: I almost forgot, Chris Kaman was shooting hoops at the hollywood YMCA last summer when I was practicing. Such a weird looking dude.
