My mom and I found out lastnight that my half brother (different dads, same mom) was killed while on duty in Iraq Saturday afternoon. He didn't live with me and my mom, he lived with his dad, so me and him never really had the chance to get very close, though I did hangout with him on occasion and I did love him. My mom isn't taking it so good, as he was her first son, and they did have a closer relationship than I did with him. To add to it, his birthday is tomorrow. R.I.P. Frankie.
Dang, man, I feel for you. Sorry to hear about that. Death is tough. Be extra nice to your mom and do stuff for her.off topic - is you or your mom mad at Bush right now?
Wow, thats so sad man sorry to hear it. Hearing about all of the soldiers giving their lives for our country is hard enough, but when you can put a face to the name, it makes it even worse.
Thats real tough, and just I'm so sorry to hear that.. Your mom should be proud though, he gave his life for all of us.. R.I.P.
Lol. She has been for a while. We had some people over this morning, and the phone rang, I went to answer it, and it was the Army, not knowing any of this happening, asked me to join. Talk about bad timing. But yeah, I've been real nice to my mom and I'm trying to do what I can for her. I took off of work today. It still hard to imagine, looking around at all the pictures of him from when he came to visit last, which was 2-3 years ago. I only say him maybe once a year, though my mom kept it touch with him a lot more.He had just gotten married before he went over to Iraq, and didn't have long to spend with his wife before leaving either.
Haha, the army tried to recruit you this morning? Wow, imagine how hiw wife feels. Dang, man, what a terrible thing to happen
I'm not being a dick, he said something and I asked him a question about it. I'm sick of you bitching about my posts.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Jun 18 2007, 12:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>to protect our freedom</div> Protect our freedom from who?
BCB, I'm not gonna start arguing politics in such a dignifying thread. Just stand up and pay your respects to an American hero

You always seem to be putting someone down, or atleast whenever I read your post. You seem to think you're better than everyone else here, but you're not.I just needed to say that, and that's all I'm going to say on it, I got it out of my system now.Now back to topic. We need to give respect to this soldier, and every soldier.

That's terrible man. I hope you and your mom will be able to get through this eventually. Very sad news.

But, tomorrow, I hope she'll stay ok, because tomorrow is his 24th birthday.
I've always wondered, how do they get soldier's bodies back to America?Sorry if this is an offensive questionIs the funeral gonna be special, like in any military way?
Jesus BCB, I understand your opinions are the same as mine but I think you could be a bit more considerate since the guy's brother just died. Forget forum rules, it's just basic human courtesy.
RIP to your brother my man. Don't worry too about it, he served his country and died for a good cause.
