It doesn't exactly workout. Wallace or 2 more players would most likely have to be involved in the deal.I just don't see any point in taking a team one big man away from seriously contending for a championship, to bring in a player with no concept of team chemistry, who is just looking for a quick fix to get talent in LA, then re-sign with them in two years when his contract is up. (Or atleast that's the latest rumor on what he has been quoted as saying.) I could be wrong about the whole entire trade situation though. It's just my opinion.</div>I think Kobe proved he can fit very well in a teams chemistry when he won 3 championships. I cant persuade you to think Kobe can fit in CHI but if they wanted him here bad enough they could find a way to do it without trading wallace.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (PrimeTime @ Jun 19 2007, 01:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Im not sure on salaries but im pretty sure Sweetney makes 8 mil and I suppose Gordon+Nocioni+Tyrus collectively at least make 8 mil. Kobe makes around 16 mil so why wouldnt that work out?Even if Spencers Hawes is to be our center, we can move Ben Wallace to PF since hes getting older AND since hes really only the height of a sf-pf anyway and it wouldnt hurt the team at all.I think most people posting are scared of change but I cant see how you dont want a guy who scored 81 points in one game. Especially in CHI where the echoes of jordans past are everywhere why would you not want that kind of player again?</div>It's not a matter of people not wanting Kobe; I think Bulls management would love to get him at the right price. Remember that they even flew out to LA when Kobe was a free agent in order to make their pitch; and Kobe has always said that he was impressed by how they presented themselves. Kobe is my favorite non-Bull, so I would love to get him.But it just doesn't work under the scenario that you got up there. The Bulls have a team option on Sweetney for next year at about $3.6 million. It's pretty much a guarantee that they won't pick it up because Sweetney is crap. And if they were to give him a large contract in a sign and trade then he would be BYC; making the deal impossible. Same thing would be the case with Nocioni since he's also a free agent.
we cant trade Noc before the draft or even on draft day.. we have to wait sometime till we resign himand traden wallace would be dumb. Cause we lose a center then we got Nobody.I would raither try to trade gordon over KirkKirk and kobe would stop alot of 1's and 2's out there
We wouldnt have to give them too much. We have great depth already, and I dont think yall are realizing that. Even if we lose Wallace in getting Kobe we will still be well off. Sooner or later Wallace is going to drop off significantly anyway and hes going to crush our cap with his 16 mil a year. Id much rather having Kobe if im going to pay anyone on the roster 15+ mil.
I dont Think Kobe is that good of a fit for bulls. Bulls are a work-together pass first team and Kobe is a shoot first leader. If Kobe goes to Chicago which I doubt, I dont think he will be the same and I think he will be like how A.I is with the nuggets. But you never know. Maybe he's going to take after Jordan!

Adding Kobe would ruin the chemistry and the development of the team. Why mess up a good formula? They were just too inexperienced against the Pistons this year. They'll get better. They shouldn't trade for Kobe. The Bulls system is predicated upon ball movement and teamwork. Kobe will want the ball most of the time. And Kobe's not the easiest player to play alongside. Bad deal definitely. I really don't think Kobe's gonna be traded anyway. Just let the brat cry for a little while. Give him a new toy and he'll be happy.

If they dont wanna leave there teams I dont think they would of took 4 year contracts with a chance to opt out .........

All that means is that if the franchise isn't heading in the right direction, or they want more money, then they will use their option. That doesn't mean they are planning on leaving.
I think that pretty soon the lakers will have to trade kobe before training camp because he's already said no matter who they get he still wants out of los angeles, so they will just have to go with wut the bulls r willing to give because there is a possibility kobe will sit out some games and no team has ever really let a player no matter how good they are come back after saying publically they wanna be traded... for example kareem abdul-jabbar wen he demanded a trade from the milwaukee bucks was easily the best player at the time and he got traded to the lakers..........so these r the possible trades:Lakers receive:SG Ben GordonSF Andres NocioniPF P.J. BrownUnnamed playerBulls receive:SG Kobe Bryantor if they can get a 3rd team in a deal because the lakers want an all-star player in return they can get the wizards in the deal:Lakers getG Gilbert ArenasWizards get:SG Ben GordonSF Andres NocioniPF P.J. BrownBulls get:SG Kobe BryantThe Bulls would just have to do a sign and trade with Brown and Nocioni to match up the money in the trade and if I was Paxson I would do this deal
Just wanna say welcome to BBW and its great to see another bulls fan and also.. sign me up for that deal.. one or two doesn't matter. seems good for all teams... gilbert said he will leave washington anyway
Now that we have Joakim Noah I wouldnt mind adding Wallace to the Kobe package at all if it presents itself.
I also forgot to mention that kobe would be the player that the bulls were kind of missing besides a low post scorer....a consistent go to scorer. Don't get me wrong I like hinrich, gordon, and deng but I just think that gordon is too inconsistent sometimes aka he scores 40 one night and like 14 the next. Kobe would fill that hole in the team and he would only make the players around him better because he would draw lots of double teams and if we have deng and hinrich on the team still those guys can still shoot. I see no reason why we shouldnt trade for kobe because we could end up being the east's top team for many years with that team!

If the Bulls trade for Kobe which they should this is what the lineup could potentially beG Kirk HinrichSG Kobe BryantSF Luol DengPF Tyrus Thomas or Joakim NoahC Ben WallaceThat lineup is wayyy better than Cleveland and we would win at least 1 or 2 championships with that team so the bulls should definitely trade for kobe
