Right. Who cares about the good of the country anyway?

The corporate media made it a joke. The people you listen to that have had us in unnecessary wars for decades.

Trump said he wanted us out of them. One guy against the military industrial complex and their lackeys. You know, Pelosi and Schumer and most of the Democrats and ALL of the Republicans save a few.

Typed my response and clicked another thread and saw this....perfect example of what I'm talking about. If Trump's a joke here's the setup.....

You continue to think that Trump actually meant what he said?

Trump doesn't give a shit about wars, or lack thereof. You've been conned.

Hardly. My nephew-in-law graduated from OSU with a degree in engineering. He was vice president at CH2MHill. He is a distinguished graduate of Oregon State. Now, how was he able to do this while growing up in a "failed culture of stone age ignorance".
I might add that when I attended several years earlier, we had several Iranian engineering students who were all above average students and, with the exception of one, were extremely nice guys.

It must be a terrible let down to have come from associating with distinguished Iranians to chastising Trump supporter on a chat room.

The people I listen to that have had us in unnecessary wars for decades? I didn't vote for the Bush administration who put us in an unnecessary war with Iraq for oil while allowing Bin Laden to live. (It's Obama took care of that)

The media isnt starting the war with Iran, Bolton and others in Trumps administration are.

The media as a whole has backed every war. Even CNN had a few who informed people of it at least.......They can't just ignore it completely or it would be too obvious. Why does Trump having Bolton do it seem worse than Obama bombing the shit out of things?

Obama did what Bush should have. He bombed the fuck out of Afghanistan and took out most of the taliban. His administration found and killed Bin Laden. What did George Bush's Administration do? Go to a fake war with Iraq to steal their oil.

The media covers every war. There is always going to be news outlets who back it and those who don't.

Bolton knows his business there. Doing his job. But that does not mean in any sense Trump will go to war. He does not need to unless we are actually attacked which only fools would do. Even then, I don't see a war resulting.

Democrats go to war with the exception of Bushes.

    WWI Wilson Dem
    WWII Roosevelt Dem
    Korea Truman Dem
Taiwan/Quemoy Eisenhower Rep (mostly back up Taiwan Chinese , a few scrimmages but no war)
    Vietnam Johnson Dem
    Iraq 1 Bush GH Rino
    Serbia Clinton Dem
Afghanistan Bush GW Progressive/Rino (Historically a pit in which to waste troops)
    Iraq 2 Bush GW Rino
    Libya Obama/Clinton Dem
Rescue missions and missile lobbing ignored.

Defense is an entirely different strategy from offense.
Offense should never be taken on until the sovereign knows the definition victory and the General knows specifically how to achieve the victory.

The media is absolutely complicit in soliciting public support for our endless wars. The administration and their cronies draw up the plans and the MSM broadcasts the lies and false narratives to millions to garner support. This is a tried and true method and the media is IN NO WAY innocent. The people in this country have been lied to about every war since Vietnam.

Obama picked up right where Bush left off when it came to causing complete and utter chaos in the Middle East. He did nothing good there whatsoever. Let’s not pretend.

And then the media all laughed when W made jokes about finding the WMD's at the correspondents dinner.

    Yuck yuck yuck...

He inherited Cheney's war. He killed Bin Laden. More than Bush can say.

He inherited it with open arms, and dragged it on for the entirety of his presidency. Killing Bin Laden was great, but it was a symbolic victory in the name of vengeance and didn’t accomplish anything beyond that. It would have been nice to have some proof of Bin Laden's death though. It’s too bad they rushed to dump it in the ocean all wrapped up like a mummy with no identifying characteristics to be seen. I guess it was a respect thing, as opposed to parading Gaddafi through the streets with a flagpole up his ass. Guess we gotta take their word for it though, cuz, you know, they said it’s true.

Yeah, a couple hundred thousand dead civilians later. I guess when you look and act as dumb as a member of the Bush family it’s easy to just throw up your arms and say “whoopsie daisy!”

Interesting that the media didn't seem to notice.

Just like they don't seem to notice what we're doing in Venezuela and just like they don't seem to doubt the unnecessary chemical attack in Syria.

How convenient. Don't suppose it has anything to do with money, it isn't like war sells....

Iraq had to do with Cheney's control of our security apparatus. There was very little intelligence on the issue than what the Bush administration was putting out and in the security briefings given to Congress. Who were we to challenge the unknown? The only thing you could blame on the press was not getting secret evidence to the contrary.

Venezuela is a defacto mess. One only has to look at it to see that something's got to change. People are dying from a lack of food and medical care.

The chemical attacks in Syria are very well documented by third parties outside any government.
