The Raptors should be an example to us of how to build a better team

    Agreed, this is crazy.

Goodbye, savings. I'd rather make a nice lil downpayment on a house.

    Man F StubHub.

Such a racket. Tickets sellout in seconds just to be relisted on StubHub for twice or three times as much.

What a stretch. You cant just extrapolate 35% of the season and act like its the rule.

It's definitely not an exact science, but it's enough of a sample size to be able to reasonably predict an outcome. If it was only 5 games or so, then I would agree with you, but it's not.

What's the point of this thread? Yeah, if you trade for Kawhi Leonard, you have a chance to win a title. Duh. Kawhi wasn't available to us. They weren't trading him to a Western Conference team. And people keep thinking we can get any star we want, if we trade CJ. Meanwhile, CJ torches the Nuggets in Denver in a Game 7.

Orlando beat Toronto in Game 1. Orlando is better than Golden State. Toronto in 4?

I have been saying that this Warriors team is beatable since their series against the Rockets. It's just too bad we were so beat up..... and our coach can't figure out how to beat a trap.

The point of this thread is that if you aren't willing to settle for an average coach and are willing to take the risk of trading one your big name players, then you might be able to improve.

Really the point is that we should never settle and that we should always be striving to improve. Sometimes you have to be willing to take risks, and it doesn't seem like this team is willing to take any big risks right now. We take small risks. Risks that are so small that they're not really risks at all.

Take a risk to make that leap into contention.

    Neil doesn't have the plums.

The only player that could be a comparable situation is AD.

Houston won 2 yet Morey is ready to blow things up and make drastic changes because he knows the team as composed is not good enough.

On the other hand, Portland gets swept and Olshey settles for the status quo and extends Stotts and will probably keep CJ.

Many in here were against trading CJ+Collins(for example)+a 1st for Kawhi because he wouldn't resign so don't act like you were all for it if we could get him. There was a thread with some trade suggestion from Canzano last May.

having a guy on a 1.5m contract this year dropping 30pts n playing out of his skin must be a decent boost.

pascal gets a sweet 2.4 then 3.5m the following i think. hope he gets paid at the end.

Morey is trying to make moves because he knows he has to get off of CP3's contract before it completely hamstrings the organization. Next year 90m in their capspace is locked up in Harden/CP3/Capela and with CP3 decline in both play and health there is no better time to try and fleece someone then when they miss out on a big name FA. CP3 might still be near elite next year but the last two years on that contract are both over 40m and I really doubt he will still be playing like an elite PG then and if Morey holds onto him and CP3 play drops there is no getting off that contract without giving up assets which they are lacking at the moment.
