Im not really a fan of this draft outside of maybe Zion and Morant, if they can get anything of value trading the 25th Im all for it.
It's the #25... Use common sense. If we keep the pick, there aren't many (IMHO ANY) immediate difference makers that deep in the draft. If we can find a Pascal Siakam type (he was the #27 pick of the 2016 draft) you do it. I'm on board so far with Bazely.
Yeah, I'm cool with getting someone like him or Samanic that far down in the draft, younger guys that have potential, especially at positions of need. Nolan Smith put me off of getting potentially capped out older guys that far down the draft lol.
LMAO i haven't heard of any of these dudes. https://www.nba.com/blazers/forward...ck-trail-blazers-begin-2019-predraft-workouts nbadraft's rankings of these guys the Blazers just brought in for a workout: Hoard -- 56 Martin -- unranked Dort -- 47 McDuffie -- unranked Ponds -- unranked Hinton -- unranked I'm gonna read into this. We are getting a second round pick, and possibly moving out of the first round.
What Olshey likes to do brings guard to play guards. He will do that with and bigs. So I wouldn't get over excited about it.
If you're going by NBA Draft . net's rankings they are usually pretty bad until more rumors come out.
Its a confirmation bias. Its what he WANTS to happen, so hes looking for confirmation signs even if there aren't any.
Last olshey try trade there pick nobody wanted to trade. Draft day getting to be about drafting and nothing else. We got good group coming in on Saturday I believe Bazley in that group so wouldn't read into the 1st group what we going to do on draft day.
In regards to Bazley - I've never been this in love with a prospect in Portland's draft range since Damian Lillard.
Or he's expecting to trade the pick and then buy a second round pick and draft one of these guys. Could be a sign that Jody Allen is all in and willing to spend like Paul did in terms of buying a second round pick.
I realize they didn't weight as much, but I am still of the opinion they had similar builds. Really though Zion compares more like a NFL Tight End than NBA Players, he's definitely in a special class of athlete.
