THANK YOU !!! I've been saying this for long time, i'm sick of drafting young skinny dudes with baby faces, no matter how good they are, in the Playoffs when it's getting chippy and nasty and way mor physical you need long, Strong physical guys who do not let themselves be bullied. You need players with confidence and mental strong

You realize you're basically saying we shouldn't draft guys like Giannis and Gobert or in this case Bazley, right? If a player in the draft was already a physical specimen ready to play in the NBA they'd go at the top of the draft like Zion. You gotta take chances that a high ceiling prospect turns into that guy when you're picking #25.

Other than Layman in the 2nd round has Olshey even drafted a true wing player since he's been here? Maybe Crabbe? It's mostly guards or bigs. We need to start taking some chances on athletic wings like Bazley and hope they pop like a Butler, Giannis, or Kawhi did.

If you look at Giannis 5-6 years ago compared today, looks like he’s been roiding out hard. IM NOT accusing him of that. Just saying when you draft guys you’re hoping they fill out.

Yeah, you can't have it both ways. If you want to find the next Giannis type you need to take risks. If he was already the Greek Freak he would've been the #1 pick that year.

Any chance the Blazers could bring in Cousins for a season while Nurk heals up?

Max we can offer him is the taxpayer MLE. He's gonna get better offers. I think we really need to just let Collins do his thing and let him get extended minutes. He commits dumbass fouls but there's only one way to learn. He also gets a really shitty whistle-- so maybe the refs would respect him more if he were on the floor longer.

Leonard also is fine in a bind for 3-4 months as well as a backup.

Whats interesting to me is Collins says he likes playing the 5, I dont think he rebounds good enough to be a 5, maybe this summer as he continues to get bigger he’ll get better at not being pushed off his spot, but I see him more as a 4 that can sort of play the 5 in limited situations. I was hoping Zach would take Aminu’s minutes.

Yes but it doesnt tend to happen all in one summer, I could see in a couple seasons Zach filling out, and Im sure we’ll see it some next year.

He literally just came back (early) from injury. My guess is by next year he’s moving enough he could be better than what the Blazers have, unless Zach really gets big fast.

And Collins isn’t that guy? Toughness is mental. Anyone can get stronger, and Zach has the frame to get pretty big eventually (just compare AD and Aldridge when they came into the league to what they look like now.)

I think Achilles going to slow him down the rest of his career i seen yesterday he still doesn't have any lift going up around the basket. I am not saying he won't be usable player but anyone gives him a big contract might regret it.

Well I wasn't advocating giving him superstar money, just the MLE for a year (if he would take it). While Nurk gets healthy, I think it would be wise for the Blazers to expect Nurk not to be back to himself until the 2020-21 season.

He won't take that kind of money. In his agent and himself they probably believe he worth big money.

For the tax payer mle though he would likely choose to stay with GS. I'm pretty sure he will get some better offers.
